The 2012 Caribbean Championship (also known as Digicel Caribbean Cup 2012 for sponsorship reasons) is the 2012 edition of the Caribbean Championship, an international football championship for national teams in the Caribbean region of CONCACAF, which also includes nations from Central and North America. The final stage will be hosted by Antigua and Barbuda.[2] The tournament will determine the four teams that will qualify for the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Fortunately or unfortunately and hopefully, the JFF will have prepared 3 or 4 football friendlies for the Reggae Boyz as soon as most football seasons end in May. The JFF will know from the FIFA calender that countries from South America will begin the next stage of World Cup qualifiers on June 2 and 9 and then take a two month hiatus until September just like CONCACAF. The same can be said of the African and Asian zone.
Thats not an update, its clear you just took it from Wikipedia.

According to the local daily newspaper "France-Antilles" in Guadeloupe, the 2012 DCC would start in august. The finalist Guadeloupe will enter directly in the second round in october. The final round will be held in Antigua and Barbuda (December 1st to 16th).
He's referring to an article in this paper (written today) which does not let you read unless you pay.
Also, just read on Twitter Aruba, Barbados, Dominica, and Suriname are in a group that will start in September.
EDIT: From same source on Twitter, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, USVI, and BVI to open the Tournament in August.
Not incorrect, it just didn't actually update anything as all of the information you included there was in the original post. Anyway, the Wikipedia entry now has full groups and a tentative schedule for the tournament.

Where will these groups be hosted? Also, is there a website to see all the groups and schedules?

Good to know because the update I posted yesterday was all the information Wikipedia had. All the new updates were about 2 hours later.
R'boyz need to focus on reaching the Hex, Caribbean Cup comes secondary!!!
So the Caribbean Cup is not good enough to give our up and coming Reggae Boyz the focus they need to help their senior Brothers reach the HEX and Brazil?

This would mean that CFU's teams wouldn't good enough for jamaican? I sincerely believe that people had better be less arrogant because there are fewer small teams in the Caribbean. Trinidad and Tobago has long dominated the Caribbean football is currently undergoing a bad patch. The socca warriors missed two Gold Cup in a row (2009 and 2011) and they didn't even qualify for the second round of World Cup qualifying. We call it home "rise and fall". Remember also that you have almost did not become CFU's champions in 2010 because the Gwada Boys dominate you the whole final's game.Yes we should have won but penalties are also lottery!

Not saying Jamaica is too good for Caribbean Cup, but it is MUCH more important to make to the HEX than winning another Caribbean Cup.
Our object for this tournament is to simply qualify for the Gold Cup, could care less if we win it.
No explanation was needed Jamatl. That person must be smoking bush, mek him think seh we really losing sleep over Caribbean Cup. You were right to say, the Reggae Boyz need to focus pon reaching Hex and not Caribbean Cup. Now that we in hex, the Caribbean cup can be use to fine tune the team and keep them busy for upcoming friendlies after that and the February qualifiers. Nuff teams a go get bombarded by Reggae Boyz in the this upcoming C-Cup cause nuff men a come fi solidify them spot pon the team and also stake a claim to starting positions in the next round of WCQs.
Would like to see Lamar 'Wanka' Nelson and Keith Kelly get a chance to play some international football here. Besides making the Gold cup, that's my only wish for this tournament.
Why the hell is a Rugby side like Antigua hosting a football tournament on Cricket Pitches, and not Jam the 2 time defending champs!!!??
I agree that the Hex should be our priorty. We need to save our young stars players for the hex. I would hate to see, Mattocks or tremaine stewart injured by the butchers of Grenada , Antigua and Guyana. These guys dont have the tallent to match Jam and really looking to make a name.
Last Caribbean cup the left back from from Antigua or Grenada was killing Dane Richards with licks. Him chopped him down first three times Richards touched ball got so bad Dane and move inside to middle. This is perfect tournament for Lionpaw fav Ryan Johnson, who not very skilled but has body absorb a lot a punishment. Expect J. Hue to get rough up too when them can't get the ball from him.
