Mi done tell unu already say the man waiting on the World Cup wagon to pick up. Him want some other man go do the hard work for him and then him will try run in.
Jobi will be focusing on Club football and wants to give Reading a good start to their EPL Campaign..so he will not be involved
This does not mean the door is closed as he says if we make it to the final round and we still have him in our thoughts he would gladly accept the call
Thought McAnuff was more sensible than this, he didn't realize his words would be interpreted in a way to be snubbing JA's football? Probably not...and so we move on from there.
J'youth question; what about Pratley? there's Garath McCleary & Lewis McGugan any word on these 3?

Jobi: 'No Fear!'

Royals skipper determined not to hold back Captain Jobi McAnuff says the Royals will kick off their Premier League campaign with no fear, as they take on Stoke City this Saturday.
Reading’s skipper will relish the challenge more than anyone, as he prepares to play the first top flight game of an 11-year professional career.
“Growing up as a kid the aim is to get into the Premier League,” he said.
“We’ve got as much right to be here as anyone else, it’s a great chance to go and show that to everybody. These are exciting times – we want to embrace it, we can’t wait to go out there and give it a good crack.
“We’ve been flying about in training and looking sharp – we’ve had a good pre-season and we’re ready to crack on this Saturday. Our ambitions go as far as wining the next game – that’s been our motto over the last couple of years and it’s something we’re keen to stick to.
“We want to do as well as we can, there’s no fear – of course we respect the great talent and clubs that are in this league but we’re going to go out to win every game.”
After a number of new additions to the squad this summer, McAnuff has echoed his manager’s sentiments in expressing satisfaction at the state of the squad.
“Everyone we’ve brought in has been a great addition, and they’re settling in well. We’ve got Pavel up front – he’s a big lad, with a great touch and a great eye for goal. Just like the rest of them he’s fitted into the ethos at the club and the way we play – which is imperative.”

I understand him wanting to focus on Reading and to be honest, if we cant make it out of this group without any new recruits, we are a f**kin disgrace anyway but having said that, WHO THE F**K DOES MCANUFF THINK HE IS, HE CAN STAY THERE. NO COMMITMENT TO THE CAUSE. WE NEED BETTER PLAYERS YES BUT NOT ONES WITH ATTITUDES LIKE MCANUFF.
we really need these type of players to replace no good austin and morrison dem who create nothing.. we nned more a-class ballers in the team... darren pratley we also need...

We definitely need some creative midfield players because right now we have none, I agree. I wasnt an Austin fan but he's started to convince me that he has an important role to play in our team. I agree Austin creates nothing but on the defensive side of things he is still important but we need a player with creative skills to play alongside him.
McAnuff can do that job but I dont like his attitude. I know about Ras Tafari Makonnen but I never heard of King Tafari McAnuff so he needs to come down off his high stool and either join the cause and fight all the way through or f**k off

TORONTO, Canada:
Simon Dawkins believes he has enough "street cred" to fit the Reggae Boyz profile.
Despite being born in London and representing England at the youth level, the 23-year-old hopes his football talent, strong connections with Jamaica and interest in playing for the country make him warrant serious consideration, especially as Jamaica is actively seeking to boost the Reggae Boyz squad ahead of World Cup qualifiers next year.
"My background is Jamaica," said the attacking midfielder/forward, who currently plays for Major League Soccer (MLS) team San José Earthquakes (SJE), after being signed to a two-year contract in March by English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and sent on loan to the United States.
"Maybe one day I would play for Jamaica. I'd love to."
According to him, his family would relish that opportunity as well.
"(It would) make my grandparents really happy," said Dawkins.
So too mother Lorna and father David, who Dawkins claim are from Clarendon. Born in the Edgware community, Dawkins said he is tightly connected to his parents' home culture.
"You could call me raised Jamaican in London," he explained with a broad smile after playing for SJE against Toronto FC late last month.
INTEREST
That includes his affection for the island's food and music. His roots also sparked his interest in Jamaica's football.
"I follow Jamaica's team and the Jamaican players," said Dawkins. "I saw them at the Gold Cup this year."
He claimed he has met several current and former Reggae Boyz, including Ricardo Gardner, Ricardo Fuller, Omar Daley and Deon Burton. Reggae Boy Khari Stephenson is Dawkins's teammate at SJE.
Dawkins also said - only half-jokingly - he's related to "almost every Dawkins" in Jamaica. He even makes a connection with current head coach Theodore Whitmore, who he has never met.
"I went to school with Alex Whitmore (the coach's nephew) at Underhill Primary and Ravenscroft High School," Dawkins explained.
However, the 5' 10" 160-pounder knows it's his football ability that will count most towards any consideration for Jamaica's national team.
FACTOR
So far, Dawkins is still trying to find his way in MLS, North America's premier professional league. On August 27, he started and played just over an hour against host Toronto FC and failed to score in the 1-1 draw.
However, Dawkins did show why he could be a factor down the road. He has quick, nimble feet. Early in the second half, SJE's number 10 picked up a ball in the attacking third and used close kills to elude defenders.
But Dawkins's career has been up and down. He started out at Tottenham's youth academy in 2004 and played in the reserves. He never got a game at the senior level, although he was among the Spurs substitutes for a UEFA Cup first-round game.
Dawkins had been on loan to lower English league club Leyton Orient, but was released by Tottenham in June 2009. He has also been on trial with clubs in France and Scotland.
Still, Dawkins impressed Spurs enough at a trial stint this year and was re-signed. The club's technical coordinator, Tim Sherwood, recently told SJE's website that Dawkins has a good chance to shine in MLS.
"Simon is gifted, he holds the ball up well, sees his teammates and has a good appreciation of the game," said Sherwood. "I think he will do well."
Dawkins has had a fair start to his MLS stint. The TFC game was his 18th appearance for SJE, starting 11 games and scoring four times while recording an assist. His second strike of the season, against TFC on April 9, earned Dawkins a nomination for MLS Goal of the Week.
Maybe Dawkins's desire to break into Jamaica's national programme is gaining momentum. He promises to grab the chance if it finally comes.
"Of course, I would consider it at this stage of my career," Dawkins said.
Fans, I have read the article by Gordan Williams re Simon Dawkins and I am chuff to know he wants to represent JA Reggae Boyz. He is a gifted and talented player. He has creativity, great awareness, quick and does not easily loose the balls. He is definitely blessed with his natural talent and ability, and yes he does have strong JA connectioins. We got to remember he is not a striker but he does both job as a striker and a midfielder - he score goals. How many midfielders does this? If the Reggae Boyz want to strengthen their chance of beating the USA, Simon is one to join the team. He is an important player in the San Jose Earthquake team and they are currently top of the MLS Eastern and Western league. We need to get Tappa to look at him straight away before it's too late! Let's campaign for him, I am and would also like you to.....

Reading's McAnuff back on Ja radar
GORDON WILLIAMS
WASHINGTON DC, United States:
Jobi McAnuff, captain of newly promoted English Premier League (EPL) team Reading, has become a key target for inclusion in Jamaica's 2014 World Cup qualifying (WCQ) campaign, although the midfielder was ruled out of back-to-back games against the United States early next month.
According to Alfredo Montesso, assistant head coach for Jamaica's senior men's team, McAnuff met Jamaica Football Federation representatives while the player was in the island last month on vacation.
McAnuff, who Montesso said holds a Jamaican passport, is coveted by the national programme for his football skills and leadership, which the coaching staff believe will help him assimilate into the team and have immediate positive impact.
"Once we bring a player to the team, with a short period of time to put them with the chemistry in the team, we have to look for those kinds of players that will come and wear the (national) jersey, step on the field and do the job," said Montesso.
"We cannot have time to bring a player and adapt him with the team, with not too much experience, or playing in a league or club that is not giving him that kind of experience.
"Actually (McAnuff) is a kind of player that has been playing all season for his club, you know, and also he not only plays, but he captains the team," Montesso added. "He brings leadership. He brings quality in the midfield. He is creative. Good passer. His approach inside the 18-yard box - he scores goals with his team. This is something that is very important as well."
Several British clubs
McAnuff, 30, has played for several British clubs since turning professional in 2001, including Wimbledon, West Ham United, Cardiff City, Crystal Palace and Watford. He has scored a dozen goals in 116 appearances since joining Reading FC in 2009.
McAnuff has not joined the Reggae Boyz because, according to Montesso, he and Reading agreed he should not leave the club at the start of the new season. The club's rise from the English Championship last season will enable him to play in top flight club competition for the first time in his pro career. Reading face Stoke City on August 18 in their 2012-2013 season opener.
According to Montesso, McAnuff would "maybe" be available for two WCQ - against Guatemala and Antigua and Barbuda - in October. The player, meanwhile, is zeroed in on his EPL debut.
"Growing up as a kid, the aim is to get into the Premier League," he told Reading's website on August 16.
Jamaica have maintained interest in other English-based players, including striker Jermaine Beckford of Championship club Leicester City, and winger David "Junior" Hoilett, of the EPL's Queens Park Rangers. Montesso admitted, however, that both may be long shots to join the Boyz.

McAnuff wants to represent Jamaica...He loves Jamaica and is indeed committed...But when your employer tells you that "if you run off to play for Jamaica at the beginning of our EPL campaign, I will strip you of the captain armband and you'll never play another game for us" that a player has to think twice. He has a family to feed.

Gwaan make excuse for him. You wait and see how things go if the wagon pick up steam. Him was a waggonist when Teddy did better than him a decade ago and him is a waggonist now.
Garath McCleary has a had a great game for Reading since he came on, he has been mentioned here before as a possible recruit.
I was just about to post that...I am a bit disappointed in McAnuff today...Never really got into it...Also Mapps didn't get a run out...McLeary looks the part.
I was totally impressed by the play of Nathan Dyer and Scott Sinclair for Swansea FC...I don't think that they'll get offered a chance to play for us by Tappa though.
