Yeah, I was surprised to see Kerron finishing but without proper baton execution during the race, the outcome would probably not have been dramatically different.
I believe the strategy may have been that if Shelly-Ann and VCB gave Kerron a cushion, she should have been able to maintain it.
Truth to be told, our opponents executed perfectly, thus the margin of victory and subsequent WR.

Baton exchanges would not have made a lot of difference. I also wanted Shelly-Ann to run anchor, but the Americans had greater team speed than we did. Only VCB and Shelly-Ann were on top of their game. The silver is good, but let's hope that we kick their butts in the men's 400 tomorrow.
Not surprising one bit. Have you seen our baton changes? If we don't improve that we'll always be playing second fiddle to whomever. You'd think the brain surgeons who are coaching the relay team would see that by now.
I hope bolt and beast can shut up them with a WR in M4X100 finals...sure would be great..anyways big up the woman dem
Brazil deserved to lose. They played as individuals, often holding the ball too long and not creating enough movement into space. Raphael gave away the first goal, and nearly gave away a second; then he cursed Juan, who had bailed him out. Yes, the second goal eventually came from an improperly awarded foul given to Marcelo, but the Canarinho created far too little, and looked very sloppy.
I have never been a big fan of Menezes, and now that he has failed in two tournaments the axe should be poised. But who knows... The team needs a little melanin, and that is amply illustrated by Neymar's bleached-looking complexion, and ironed hair. Scolari, where are you?
