For me the saddest part of the ASAFA saga is how many Jamaicans have been dissing him and making some really unkind remarks. How quickly we forget that Asafa kept our name on the world map, did us proud and kept the black, gold and green colors flying with blistering speed. I am absolutely sure he has done and continue to try to do the best he can.
Yes, we have been disappointed by some of his failures but I am sure no matter how dissappointed we feel the hurt cannot compare to what he has experienced and has to live with within himself.
Asafa has made me proud for a long time and although he is at the end of his road I refuse to diss him for things I myself and many of us could never achieve.
Thank you Asafa for all you achieved for our nation..
Yes indeed.
The use an dash weh mentality has been painful to see.
Long live Asafa Powell

Gonz crashes out of the 4x400. He was questionable at best, he's not been the same since his latest injury. I'm beginning to wonder why team management doesn't ensure that all members are fit before them board the plane.
Mi know say everybody waan go to Olympics, but if you not fit, what are you going there to do? That applies to Asafa also.

Yes Sah, you are absolutely correct. Gonz and Asafa have both been struggling with known injuries for a while. I am surprised that they opted to let him run the relay when they knew he was questionable to finish his leg of the event. Anyway I hope we sweep the 200 today
i don't think this is a "let them board the plane issue". The relay teams travels with 6 runners. Gonzo didn't need to be running the heats. It sounds to me that Bert Cameron screwed up. He should have been monitoring Gonzo more carefully given that he was questionable all along.
