You would think its a perfect fit,but guessing that Puma see no upside to doing so....
All sentiments aside, the RBZ is really not that marketable outside the region; lacking a face of the team, that player who is recognizable internationally.
As much as Bob was a football fan, and player, I am not thrilled to see his likeness on football boots. But then again, commerce everthing !
Cool info, I did not know she did both the boot and track uniform....
This constant PUMA Jamaica collaborations, let me think that something is up with JFF's continued love affair with Kappa.
I think Jamaica would benefit more from a PUMA partnership considering they have a more estabished network of local(jamaica), regional and international distribution network, compared to Kappa. We have all heard all the sad stories of people not being able to get the Jamaican kit. I think even if the JFF took far less up front cash and a smaller incremental precent of the sales, they would be more financially rewarded.
I can go to the City(NYC), Pocono outlets, and many many more places (online or actual stores) and get PUMA stuff.
So PUMA thinks Marley is more marketable than the RBZ? they must be fools
Check this... Bolt seems to think he could play for ManU when he retires from track (though i think him nutz). What Burrell/Tappa should do is to give a run on the right wing; the RBz finances would be set for sure... sponsors galore. Hehheh
Bobs picture should not be on no shoes, Bob drop out and dem start act funny, dem a e-e-d-i-ot.
I might not agree with Marley's image on the PUMA boots, since all the Pics i saw, have him in Addidas boots.
Also, while i also, might not agree with the image on the boots, i respect his daughter's decision to make that choice, regardless of how i personally feel about it.

The reggae boys would likely never pull in the cash that Bolt and JAAA will. But, regardless of how i feel about Tappa and Burrell runnings things, i do not think the JFF would harm PUMA's image. I think Burrell is up to no good with these non-transparent dealings with Kappa
your assumption, Karl , is that PUMA wants a deal with the RBz. From how i see it, considering the deal they have with JAAA and Bolt, if PUMA does a deal with the JFF it would be for charity.
PUMA can sell all the JAMAICA they want to sell and any increase in sales due specifically to RBZ would be in the noise.

You are correct, and yes i am simply assuming. How i see it, if Kappa can find value in JFF/Jamaica, then PUMA (because i like their products) could do more with the same product JFF has to offer.

This comes short of the recent shock at the fact that the Ralph Lauren United States Olympic gear was made in China.
The festive, island-vibed PUMA Jamaican Olympic team wear was designed by Cedella Marley, daughter of the legendary King of Reggae Bob Marley.
So is this a foreshadowing of what is to come? We will see ... Congrats to Cedella and her team and PUMA ... taking the Jamaica to the world IN Class and Style.
The total results were as follows: BEST - Jamaica, New Zealand, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, South Korea.
WORST - USA, Australia, Russia, China, Spain, Hong Kong.
