Jonathan DeGuzman confirmed on Canadian TV tonight at the Canada game he is only focused on the Dutch national team and is not interested in other options.

1 down 1 to go with Hoilett remaing.

Wow, I thought DeGuzman was in Canada's corner and tried to convince Hoilett to join the join Canadian team as he was working on his paperwork to switch allegiance. Could DeGuzman's decision be based on Hoilett none declaration for Canada that he's aware of?

Seems like we have a shoe in here; I'm predicting we got him, that we'll see Hoilett in Green, Black & Gold in August....

Unless you see direct quotes from players, you can't believe a thing in half the stories.

U hafi worry more about wi coach, Tapparino rejecting Junior Hoillett, as he's done Chris Humphrey, rather than worrying about Hoillett declaring for Jamaica...wah sense it mek fi declare if di coach naah go play u?

or even give u a chance fi show wha u can do ?

The coach didn't play Humphrey? Given that he has inserted Marrippa and Nosworthy into his defense, it is easily evident that Tappa willing to evaluate all ballers.

Tappa has some work to do. He found some central defenders now we need some left back, and midfielders. Elliot was a good find, unfortunately injury pick him off. If them going to ban King forever, then we need to take a look at forwards as well, but the defense and mid is our greatest need...just like before.

Not sure if this was posted (or if its accurate)

 Quote:
According to reports Blackburn Rovers ace Junior Hoilett will decide on his national allegiance once he has resolved his club future.

Sportsnet reports that the 22-year old winger, who is set to depart relegated Rovers this summer, is keen to sort out where he is playing his domestic football next season before deciding whether to choose Canada or Jamaica.

Hoilett, who has been heavily linked with German club Borussia Monchengladbach, was born in Ontario.

However, he is eligible to represent Jamaica because it is the birthplace of his father.

Smart move for QPR and also Jamaica. QPR is in an area with strong Jamaican community.

Can he now ?

Wingers of Hoillett's calibre are dime-a-dozen in the Premiereship.

He had a good season at Blackburn individually...and was also part of a side that got their fair share of thrashings in games in which he could do absolutely nothing to help his side.

He should be thankful that a Premiereship side has come in for him...and do his best to help keep them up this season.

At 22 years, QPR is a smart move Worm; the worst place for him is a top five team which would limit is playing time. He needs to play as much a he did for Blackburn.

This would give him a Better chance of more playing time than a top. 5 or 6 club.

And if he's really that good, he will shine for QPR this season.

QPR had a tough introduction season back to the Prem last season, as is to be expected but they survived...

And have brought in some good players...Cisse, Zamora, Park from ManU...along with who they already have.

Hoillett, joining this team will have a real chance to make an impact in the Premiereship.

And they took him on a very good financial deal...what more could he have asked for coming from a relegated side ?

This coming season, you will probably see the very best of Juniour Hoillett at QPR.

We all waiting for him to commit to us or Canada since he said that as soon as he's contracted he'll declare, so 'ites man the news wires.

RIC I'm surprise you kinda doubt this yute ability. I'm more so looking at the fact that we currently don't have a player in the middle like him for R'Boyz. Even if he's a bit below grade as a top baller, with him we still good, and he would make our midfield much better than it is.

Junior Hoilett is close to agreeing a deal with Borussia Monchengladbach, Sky Sports understands.

Sources in Germany have confirmed to Sky Sports that the former Blackburn winger is expected in the country this weekend to conclude a deal.

Sky Sports revealed earlier this month that Hoilett had held talks with several English clubs about his future.

The 22-year-old has spoken with Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle, QPR and Reading over recent weeks, whilst Blackburn made a big effort to keep him.

But Hoilett has strong connections in Germany having spent two years playing on loan there earlier in his career.

His brother also plays professional football in Germany and the chance for the family to be close is believed to be a big factor in the decision.

As it stands Hoilett is now due to fly to Germany in the next 24 hours to try and wrap up a move to Gladbach, who will play UEFA Champions League football next term.

My main point was that it was the Daily Mail and shouldn't be believed. However, I do think he is too good for QPR as well, I can see them struggling to survive again this year and don't forget they already have two good wingers in Taarabt and SWP as well as Tommy Smith who can also play there.

HI...

Its not that I don't rate him...I'm matching him up against the others of the best wingers in the Premiereship and in that company..eg Ashley Young, Gareth Bale, Theo Walcott...he's nothing special...good, but nothing special.

For Jamaica, its another story...if he continues to develop more playing through the middle, he could be a really special player for Jamaica, playing just behind the strikers, where he played some for Blackburn last season.

The truth is...our coach Tappa Whitmore doesn't seem prepared to think outside the box in preparing Jamaica for Brazil...if Jamaica was to make an all-out effort to recruit the best players out of England and quarantee that all the players would have an equal chance to compete for a squad place, the chances of Hoillett, McAnuff, Pratley and others might be quicker to committ to Jamaica.

Right now there's a lot of mixed messages coming out of Jamaica, where words and actions aren't matching up.

I'm going on record right now saying that...this current Jamaica squad that we saw in these first two qualifying games IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH to get Jamaica to Brazil...the players, some of them, are already there but if they're not playing, eg Ricardo Fuller, how can we judge their value to the team.

No one can convince me that untried players like Stevens and Stewart should be coming off the bench with significant playing time over a player of Fuller's ability and experience.

I'm seriously hoping that Tappa sees the light and proves me wrong before the USA match...losing that one could easily be the end of Jamaica's WC campaign because these away matches against the USA and Guatemala are going to be the toughest matches Jamaica has ever played in recent years...Guatemala is not by any means out of this mix yet...

This current Jamaica side is simply not convincing.
