i am bring down the coaches from Genk, from Anif and From BAyern with me to JAmaica and im doing three things- 1 having them directly recruit through the Phoenix proigram
2. HAve them run a one month coaches and players developmental camp where they can share the tools needed and also evaluate.
3. Do a seminar on football development for all the clubs and copaches interested in learning how the true professional clubs do it. --I do this at no cost for the coaches or the administrators interested. campers will pay 6000 per week.

after the camp players who played on the tour with the phoenix u19 and made an impression will return for specific trials with these clubs - jasoin wright, shawn lawes , michaelous martin, chevone marsh,Andre Wilson ,patrick campbell, and company....plus after the camp other players who perform really well and show the aptitude will be selcted for trials and to remain in the developmental machinery of Phoenix for the next round.

I hopew you all suport it.. may need help with plane tickets for the additionally selected players. PHOENIX thanks reggaeboyz forum for its superb support

Looking forward to helping and playing my part for the yiouths of JAmaica.. on another note - scorer of Jamaica's goal in the u17 world cup zhelano BArnes lost another close friend yesterday to gunshots.. - how long will it take for us to realise spots is our only solutuiioonm to poverty in JAmaica. sports and its marketing of it can bring in the needed income to JAmaica to make it stand free and people will be able to earn.. Hel;p me make JAmaica see theis reggae boyz .

I do not doubt your good intentions ASFA, but it is unlikely that sports is the only solution. Hope your trip is a success for all involved

with a special camp planned for the south coast.
Alvas Powel like any other player wanting to come and attend the camp and show what he is capable of is welcome to attend but spaces are limited as we want to get full imersion into what they players need to learn to make it as a pro and also for the younger ones to have solid focussed attention onn them and their growth needs and developmwent of the true love for the game.

We will be on Newstak tonight monday speaking about the camp as well.
All of the forum i amproud to say Kyle and Leon will leave this weekend to officially take up residence at their nEW HOUSE IN GENK Belgium.. noit too bad for two fourteen year old island boys Huh! your love and support keeps them motivated dont stop!

Craig, Israel here, any reports about this camp?

Also I want to ask you, how come people can't find any info on Kevaughn Atkinson signing a 5 year contract with Bayern Munich?

Not jumping to any conclusions just asking for clarity here.

Here's a forum below discussing Atkinson...

-The Magic 8 ball may make an appearance tomorrow when Arjen Robben is expected to return to team training. It’s a little too early to project him into the squad for Dortmund, but for those who thought the team lacked an offensive spark in Augsburg, you can officially get excited.

-Mario Gomez did not participate in team training with the DFB on Wednesday, but his availability for the match against Ukraine in Kiev on Friday is not in question. More capsules and media listings for Bayern internationals on Thursday.

-If you’re an Usami lover, this extended Japanese TV report is for you. Just don’t ask me to translate it.

-With a squad composed mostly of U19 players, FC Bayern Munich II won a Tuesday friendly over FC Unterföhring by a score of 5:1. Perhaps the most encouraging sign was that long-injured Sebastian Dreier got his first action of the new season in the match.

Reports on Wednesday indicated that the Grünwalder Stadion (known to the die-hards as the Hermann Gerland Kampfbahn [battlefield]), will undergo a 10 million Euro renovation next season, meaning FC Bayern II and the U19 team would need a temporary new home for 2012-13. Youth coordinator Werner Kern says an agreement to play about 20km away at Sportpark Heimstetten is in place, but has not been finalized.

-One player who might have played in the Unterföhring friendly but missed it was Patrick Weihrauch. That’s because he was called up to Germany’s U18 team, now coached by ex-Bayern player and ‘Gladbach sporting director Christian Ziege. The German squad defeated Italy 2-1 in a friendly match on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Weihrauch’s goal for the Bayern U19s over the weekend was mysteriously left out of the weekly highlight video..somebody’s camera battery ran low?
A few leftover thoughts from the weekend:

-Fans clamoring for Toni Kroos to fall back in the formation ought to be given pause by the fact that..well, he doesn’t really think that’s the best solution. “I’m of the opinion that as little as possible should change” says Bayern’s #39, while assuring that he’ll do whatever is asked.

-Bayern players often receive the criticism from fans of other clubs that they’re just a bunch of mercenaries without any real leadership and without any real heart. They play into the stereotype in matches like Sunday’s victory in Augsburg. But until Uli Hoeness makes a major investment in an artificial intelligence start-up it’s a silly assertion: these players are as human as the next team. But you can see how folks wearing unfortunately dotted or blue shirts get to this half-truth.

-A strong team wins matches when it’s not playing its best–that’s true enough. But only fortunate ones win matches in which their challenge was met at least halfway. Sunday’s match reminded me of a whole slew of matches from the 2006-07 season, in which Bayern skated by on one brilliant moment from one brilliant player or another. But not even Ottmar Hitzfeld could cover up the warts in that squad, and a 4th place finish that season still probably flattered them. Don’t fear a repeat-the current squad is missing several key players after all, but it’s a much more talented one at its core.

-In the classic case of the stats lying, Anatoliy Tymoshchuk had his worst match as a Bayern player on Sunday. Tymoshchuk missed on only 3 passes all game, but that’s probably also the number of passes he made that went forward. He’ll be punished by going away for a while, after being handed a 3 match ban for his wild challenge in match’s dying minutes, pending Bayern’s appeal. It’s a major disappointment that the veteran’s performance was devoid of leadership, especially when his midfield partner might have benefited from a calming influence.

-And as far as leadership is concerned, how are you feeling about Philipp Lahm’s captaincy when a 2nd straight match comes to a close with teammates in the throes of an intense argument?

-The problem with David Alaba isn’t so much that he didn’t sufficiently replace Bastian Schweinsteiger as much as that he isn’t Bastian Schweinsteiger. The changes Heynckes made to the attack after the two opening matches of the season happened the way they did exactly because they fit the capabilities of Schweinsteiger. I’m not sure 3 days nor 3 weeks is enough to fashion an approach with different personnel that will be as effective. I don’t fear another start from Alaba at the position-I fear a lack of improvement once he’s had more time to work through the huge task being asked of him. It’s not his fault the next match happens to be against Dortmund either.

-Daniel van Buyten’s passing ability has been grossly underestimated all season, and his ability was on display again Sunday. But van Buyten needs to do the things he’s supposed to be good at, it’s as simple as that. You can point your finger at a couple other players on Augsburg’s goal too, but here again we had van Buyten, the biggest man on the pitch, losing one man and crumpling to the ground when the man he does pick up goes up for the ball. Van Buyten has been the biggest beneficiary of the Heynckes approach, and rarely gets left on an island to have losing footrace after losing footrace anymore. The play apparently didn’t go into the stat sheet as a lost duel, but maybe that’s because the effort was so poor to call it a duel would have been too generous.

-Jupp Heynckes’ decision to roll Tymoshchuk to right back in the 2nd half was not devoid of merit. Getting the already-carded Rafinha off the pitch was a necessity, and the right side of the Bayern formation was going to be more familiar with its defensive responsibilities than the left, meaning the right fullback would be better protected. It looked unorthodox, but with Boateng out of the picture, Heynckes didn’t have much choice.

Hey Luke, have you heard about us signing a Jamaican named Kevaughn Atkinson supposedly over the weekend? He played for USK Aniff II in Austria and will join in January.

Bumy, I did find one other thing--one of the players for USK Anif's 1st team is Manuel Duhnke--he was formerly in the Bayern system, and of course his brother Marius still is. So, there's an existing connection between the clubs.
So, the story may hold up, but I'll reiterate that I would be shocked if he was given a 5 year contract.

I know nothing about it. I found the story that you must have seen, which is kind of sketchy. It's possible he's a kid they're bringing into the U-19 team, but he's not on the radar of any scouts I know. I would fall off my chair if he's actually been given a 5 year contract however.

This latest agreement follows on the heels of two other Jamaican teens who have reportedly been signed to other super clubs in recent times through the efforts of Butler, Anif and the Phoenix Academy. Romario McKnight reportedly signed a three-year deal with French giants Lille in November last year. The 16-year-old former student of Calabar High School also played for Anif under Butler's guidance and was the second teen from that club who had been picked by a powerful European soccer club.

Two weeks prior to McKnight's signing, another Calabar High student, KeVaughn Atkinson, signed a five-year deal with German giants Bayern Munich.

Below are all the winter & spring transfers of Lille FC, but Romario McKnight's name is not on it. He supposedly sign a 3 year contract his name should be on this list Craig.

Explain to us Craig what the deal is....

I'm pretty certain that list only involves first and reserve team transfers whereas McKnight would've probably signed schoolboy/academy terms at his age.

Phoenix ASFA, the text above shows some level of 'Rookieness' in your approach as a man in the public seeking support etc...Alvas is one of the best yute talent in Jamaica, he could not give a rat piss about some hurry come up 'innovative' program trying to make a name behind smoking mirrors and snake oil bucking the JFF system.

http://www.thereggaeboyz.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/172842/page/1#Post172842

My yute a more seasoned approach would be to seek out Alvas and get him to attend your camp. Alvas have nuff positive Football capital, whereas Phoenix still close to the '0' mark a try a ting with subjective focus pon dem offspring wey inna de program.

In disya game nuff "Fanatic Gladis" de bout de place wey jump pon snake oil waggon....just gwann du yu ting, ah hope yu have plenty a snake oil coz dis forum have nuff massives wey kno how fe clean smoking mirrors.

Mi glad unu bring up this topic.mi did suspect something fishy from morning. This guy act like him running a charity to help the youth dem. If u sign these kids to the big clubs as him claim he should get some money, how much $ is involved & does the kids parents get any. Im not accusing this guy of anything as i dont know anything about him, not everybody is in this football business to help the kids they are in it for the MONEY.

You guys should check out this documentary on youtube FOOTBALL SLAVES if u havent already. Not suggesting that Craig is anything like some of the agents in the film , but its an eye opener into the business.

Craig could you respond, we want to know about the contractual situation with Romario and Kevin Atkinson who signed a supposedly 5 years contract with Bayern that none of the supporters can't seem to locate where he is. So what kind of contract are these?
