US, Mexico to renew rivalry Aug. 15 in Mexico City MLS Headlines
CHICAGO (AP) The U.S. soccer team will face rival Mexico on Aug. 15 in Mexico City, the first exhibition between the two on Mexican soil in nearly 28 years.
The Americans are still seeking their first win south of the border in a series that dates to 1934. Mexico is 23-0-1 against the U.S. on its home turf, most recently earning a pair of 2-1 victories in FIFA World Cup qualifying in 2005 and 2009. The U.S. is 15-32-12 overall against Mexico.
The last time the U.S. played a friendly in Mexico, the Americans lost 2-1 on Oct. 17, 1984.
The United States currently leads Group A in CONCACAF qualifying for the 2014 World Cup with four points after two matches.

Respect boss! Have to work tonight but should be home in time for the start of this game.
A better test would have being a European side which would have given us a different look.
Nevertheless, at least we have a friendly to give us an opportunity to further build team chemistry, and maybe, Jobi & Pratley will be on board by then.

The two games vs Jamaica and Guatemala are correct. El Salvador is preparing for the next series of games where each team have another four day window to play two games. Jamaica did well versus Guatemala in Kingston and came out flat versus Antigua a few days later.......More of the same versus USA?.....P-R-E-P-A-R-A-T-I-O-N........
The JFF folks need to do a better job trying to replicate the conditions of the tournament that the Boyz play in...........Looking good in one game...... and looking clueless three days later is not going to cut it. Anyway, everyone should have seen this coming because the Panama series showed us up as plain as day........................Ahhh Bwoy.

This game would have to come on TV for me to watch it! The Latino fan base in DC is absolutely crazy! And I am not talking crazy fun...cut you in a heartbeat!!! The game with US vs Jamaica and Panama vs El Salvador or Honduras (I forget), was detrimental to a Jcan's health! RFK is not the place for a Jamaica game...it is just not safe for a girl!
