Reggae boy, good point about the A&B game, because of the way they play we all knew they would be difficult to break down. The question is why didn't the coaches change tactics. Coaches have to understand the different types of teams they will face and devise different ways to play them. Like you said pace alone will not get you behind a compact defence, there are different ways to do this.
we have a team built for speed, but only foot speed, we need especially, a midfield that can play with more ball speed, decision speed and perpetual game speed.
Maybe for the first time ever we have the option of putting together a team that is superior or at least equal in talent to the US. But talent alone won't beat them, our coaches firstly need to do their homework and secondly, not play politrics with their player selections. Do not forget the US will be looking for soft spots in our game and try to exploit them. This game will be won or lost with our preparation.

I've already addressed that question in another post...why didn't the coach change tactics ?

Because he CAN'T...he has no plan B or even C when his plan A isn't working...and that exposes his weakness as an international coach trying to get his side...Jamaica..to the WC finals.

Tappa coaching Jamaica side like how u wudda coach a RSPL club side...im no really rise above the Caribbean level yet...and Jamaica certainly needs more than that from our coach.

Many ites support im wholesale wen im send home Chris Humphrey and Marlon King without getting any details of the situation...im neva offa any...and Burrell neva offa any...all wi hear is dat di man dem 'break unwritten disciplinary rules' but many ites weh support that decision nah tek into account the football side of things...would having King and Humphrey in Jamaica's squad have made a difference against A&B ?

We will never know now...but coupled with Tappa's ineptitude and inability to change things to sway the tide of this Antigua game in Jamaica's favour is the most worrying issue of all.

If Tappa don't have the football knowledge to change things against the weakest side in the group, how will he cope with the USA...if Jamaica's game plan isn't working say in the first 60 minutes of the match on Sept 7 ?

Jamaica stands one chance to beat the USA and that is to go at least 2 goals up against them early in the game...and then weather the storm after that until the match is over.

Anything less will have Jamaica coming up short again in Kingston.

Tappa claim sey di practice matches and their results neva matter but that has proven to be a load of horse manure...Jamaica reverted to exactly the way the team played against Panama in the A&B match...

And if you expect to rise above your worst performances, you have to use every single game to try to improve to where you want to be...there are no matches to be wasted
.

Tappa woefully wasted those two Panama games and it came back to bite him squarely in the arse against A&B.

As far as I'm concerned, it leaves a huge question mark hanging over his head now.

watching the game i also wonder in the first half A&B play 4-5-1

but in the second half they flip the script by using 5-3-2

I praise Tappa for recognising our defensive weakness in the middle, even though it was so obvious but still he brought in Nosworthy and Mariappa to improve things to his credit. Tappa is a young, inexperienced coach and we can only hope that he recognises his mistakes as a coach and changes things up. He is learning but a manager is supposed to gain knowledge, experience and then get international jobs, we have a coach who is doing his apprentiship as Jamaica coach and that's not the way forward, not gd enough. Tappa won't get sacked so I just hope he learns fast or we are f**ked.

Too early to call panic. Even if we only get 2 points from the US series it's not panic time.

Then things would totally depend on the results of the other teams matches, wouldn't they ?

Like a man sey...de ja vue again, if it boils down to that.

You guys kwo how the jamaica USA works , it's going to be 11 v 12 on the field never fair when ever USA plays Jamaica . The Most we can hope for is a 3 points at the National stadium ,if we settle for 1 we better hope we get another 1 point in ohio
like in 2006 era . Latinos are fuking thieves whenever it comes
to refereeing football and doubt we will get a canadian or another caribbean national to do it .

If we get 2 points (history suggest we will get 0 to 2 points from the US series)both us and The US dey pon 6 points, both teams will still have destiny in their own hands. All we have to to do is win and we in.

Jamaica will need creative by committee in the midfield because no ONE player can do the job.
