This dude got the first touch of a retarded 2 year old. him cant even dribble the ball. That Guatemala goal was so clumsy. Was utter crap against antigua apart from the header. It's good when u have a forward who gets in good positions but not when he is non-footballer. I think this dude is a huge liability and should be replaced by Darren Mattocks.
Dane Richards a d next one. Headless chicken with no fricken end result. Whitmore fi consider benchin dem two rux deh

I don't know if I can agree fully with your Ryan Johnson comments. Yes, his touches are sometimes off and his dribbling is not as good as say, Fuller. He always finds himself in good positions to score, and often gets the ball on frame though. IMO, the only clumsy goal is an own goal. Strikers who work hard will always get those lucky chances every so often. I have seen enough of him in Concacaf Champions league, to convince me he is a good player to have on any team. He single-handedly took a weak Toronto to the semi-finals. He has proved he can score goals in hostile environments like Central America and Argentina, something I can't say about most of our other strikers. I expect him to do well for us throughout qualifying.
His scoring rate for Jamaica has increased to almost 1 in every 2 games...a strike rate any striker can justly be proud of...and he was Jamaica's only striker to have two clear chances, both headers, on target against Antigua...the first one almost knock down the goalkeeper making the save, with its power.
This guy will continue to score goals in a Jamaica jersey...no matter what he looks like on the ball...and many of his goals have come in big, competitive matches...and he's come so close on other occasions when he didn't score.
What more does he needs to do to convince Jamaica's supporters, I don't know.
the most important thing we need from a striker is goals. He may not be the most skillful of players but based on the stats he does get the job done. As long as he is producing we need to keep him.
mi nuh rate him either eenuh, Tremaine should be starting and fuller coming on. Can't wait for Cummings to fully recover though cause him can't start over cummings nuh day

He also spoils would be opportunities. everytime we are having a good build up and the ball reaches to him, everything crash. Him either hold him head down and try dribble and gi whey d ball, or try some fancy crap pass which never work. He's atrocious. Dem need fi tell him fi stay way up and don't try drop deep and get involved, or jus bench him and done. D man naave coordination, cant even run straight

true ting and if you guys take a good look at the matches he played for Jamaica you would realise that midfielders don't like giving him the ball, why?, simply because more than likely he's gonna waste it.

Yet, he has scored 8 goals in 21 matches for Jamaica and 12 goals in 25 matches for Toronto FC, along with two Caribbean Cup titles.
He is not a salad and pile balla, works hard does the simple things well. The typical balla that delivers results but unappreciated by most so-called football experts. Is it because he did not play any DaCosta/Manning Cup or NPL ball so unnu a say who him?

8 Goals in 21 matches against mostly minnows is by no means a record to write home about. I can be top scorer in MLS. That's no standard to judge by. I'm talking about his overall play in a JA Jersey. It is atrocious and as remakid said, most players try not to pass to him as dem know him ago spoil d play, which is why u always see him a cuss and a flip but I can't blame dem for not wanting to pass to him. Shelton has a poor 1st touch also but he dribbles well and makes good passes, I can't say the same for Johnson. Our attack was more organised and looked more threatening when Stewart and Fuller came on against Antigua.

Not exactly lionpaw. I questioned his inclusion in the WCQ squad because of his club form which has been very underwhelming over the past 2 seasons. I agree that his dribbling skills are subpar; disagree about the Guatemala goal. He got in a good position to collect that ball, turned quickly like a good striker is supposed to and let the ball take the only path it could to the back of the net, which meant splitting the last defender and the goalkeeper.
Like Denmark's Niklas Bendtner, RJ is one pf those players who produce more for country than for club. I rate di yute for his patriotism and blue-collar work ethic. He knows he's not the most skilled striker around so he stays humble and tries to improve his game. Can't fault a man wid a attitude like that.
His strongest asset to the team, his heading ability makes him a decent target man/2nd striker to head balls into the path of our speedy front line strikers. So no, I don't rate RJ as nuh bigtime skills balla, but he should have a role in this campaign.
Ryan Johnson is a big forward he has score great goals for Jamaica against Argentina , costa rica, Honduras... we just need back omar cummings, marlon king, jermaine Beckford or Kevin Lisbie... trainmere stewart not good evan stevens plays like dirt we need A-class forwards not digicel cup ballers

as I said, he needs to stop trying to come deep and get involved because he has a retarded first touch, cant dribble cant pass. him always a run back and a demand the ball. he should just stay upfront when playing and try head d ball or buss more clumsy goal. him don't realise dat and always a argue wid d man dem fi pass d ball to him when him know him is a non-footballer.

Hmmm...at this level I do not believe any player on the team would avoid passing to their team mate because they thought he was inferior. Actually any player refusing to play his teammate is asking for trouble. I just cannot agree with your assumption on this
