I really don't think khari improves this team. If we thing the midfield static now, that is when it gets static. He has played his best games for San Jose this season when the coach play him at forward.

Dicoy should be called to the squad to see how he is and then if Tappa want to switch to three at the back, you can insert him along with Marriappa and Nosworthy.

We need to improve our creativity, pace and decision-making in the midfield and final third.

We also MUST become more lethal on set pieces.

Also recognize that Donovan, Altidore and Dempsey have both pace and skill to contend with.

Resolve the left midfield spot, as I believe Watson is more comfortable as a right mid.

Klinnsman will try to PRESSURE our back line and keeper into mistakes.

We need this and we need that...we need to call and play the players who can do the job first...Tired off people speaking as if stoke can start playing like barca with a few weeks practice and a change of tactics.....Things dont work like that!

In total agreement. Now the ites should understand what I was saying that many of our players decision making is slow and it kills the concept of building a team that depends on speed. We are currently not equipped with players that can play a fast paced, crisp passing, penetrative game for 90 minutes.

So we have an objective and the impediment to the aforementioned in bold....how do we rectify that?

Our objective here may not be what the JFF/Technical staff objective is so this is purely for discussion.

First we need to identify the weak links in our player pool and make an attempt to reinforce those areas. Since we have spent the last three years looking at every available player in Jamaica (is tappa say so) and we still have these weak links, we must then, as all countries do, widen our search to all available players on the international scene that can help to strengthen to those areas. I am not calling for an immediate full makeover but to systematically build on what we have until we can achieve our goal. That leads to another question. Do we have the coach that can bring out that standard in the team or will we need to make changes there also?

But even before the question of tactical nous (i.e. proper use of a team when the best players are selected) does this coach has the will to even admit that the team has weaknesses muchless rectify it. Look at how long it took him/them to call Nosworthy...a seasoned defender who at the height of his career is on file saying he would deny England to play for Jamaica. And following from that, does he even have the ability to really evaluate talent?

For this particular match( mi dealing wid USA series only) we need to address three (3) positions.

1. The left back position, IMO, we need to get Jermaine Taylor or Dicoy Williams 100% ready to handle this role in the USA series.

2. Demar Phillips needs to play further up the field and allowed to roam, which he is alreay doing.

3. We need to add a few missing players who can create for TEAM of their dibbling runs. Humphrey and McAnuff and Hoilett all do this well.

4. Every side needs a hungry yute, who is like a "Honey Badger".....swagga, bold, brash, wicked and don't give a ****, him just wha goals. For the Reggaeboyz, him name Darren Mattocks. We need to maintain constant positive communication with this young man about his future role.

5. We MUST improve on set pieces.

Darren Mattocks is a mercurial talent not seen from the likes of Fuller (though different type)....He has better touches and composure than almost everyone in the squad.

Unnu read dis......chink inna dem backline.

GUATEMALA CITY -- At least one problem is closer to being solved for the US national team.

With the center back situation practically in full crisis mode following a series of disappointing showings from Clarence Goodson and Oguchi Onyewu, one of the brighter spots in the team’s somewhat disappointing 1-1 draw in Guatemala on Tuesday was the play of Geoff Cameron, who came on at halftime to make his World Cup qualifying debut.

The Houston Dynamo center back was inserted 45 minutes in by head coach Jurgen Klinsmann in place of Goodson, who picked up a yellow card and looked a step off the pace in the first half. Alongside Carlos Bocanegra, Cameron helped lock down the backline, playing well for much of his second-half shift.

Cameron is a much better player than Goodson, so that is not good for us. However, at the same time his weakness is against fast players, so that still makes him vulnerable against a team like us.

Same with Tim Ream. There back line is a couple injuries away from disaster.

JeVaughn Watson and Jermaine Taylor will know all about him, on Sept. 7...a big plus for Jamaica.

One thing I hope happens in early August is that a few of our top players earn deals in English League Championship and above and get playing time. Secondly, Tappa needs to spend at least 20 days in England, Norway, Scotland and Sweden watching out ballas play and train. I repeat it is no use watching RSPL ballas in the run up to this match, if dem a play RSPL ball dem a train fi di Caribbean Cup.

I am confident that 3-4 players will improve significantly over the next 2-3 months.

What's up with the Phoenix youth that has been getting signed to some big clubs, shouldn't we be looking at them too?
