Causion, you need to be less emotional and more focused. Daley spent most of the second part of Motherwell's season on the bench, and Humphrey returned to the lineup and refound his form. Watch the nonsense about English-based players. King has the best scoring record for JA of any of our players, so unless you are twelve years old, don't talk about "31 year old King." What of Fuller's age? Claude Davis? Damion Stewart?

Let's hope that Omar Cummings is good for September.

Pelepapa,

We need to here the full story from all sides but I expect the JFF to make up some Bull****, remember what Tappa stated about the JFF.

What Tappa said about the JFF wasn't anything negative. I don't know why everyone drawing that conclusion. Basically he said the JFF hurt themself and him in the arena of public opinion by not revealing to the public the teams and players who refuse call-ups. That is the extent of what he said.

This is another part of the problem. Always choose the individual over the authority. Everybody in authority is Babylon to be opposed. Unnu need fi get over dat.

What 2 sides of the story need to be heard? Weh you think the player a go seh? Yet anything he seh will be believed. I spoke about this just a few days ago. If the JFF/Burrell is this untrustworthy and so anti-Jamaican football why unnu no vote him out for someone unnu can trust so when a decision is made unnu can trust the party which represent the programme as a whole and each of us as fans instead of the individual. Remember seh di man ran UNOPPOSED. It is like none a unnu know what the hell unnu doing. I would've call fi Burrell's resignation di day after mi si di selection fi 2010 and Tappa after the USA game, so mi wouldn't affi deal with this untrustworthiness a few days before embarking on the biggest mission for the football programme. How many other people called for Burrell's resignation or put pressure pon him after 2010? None. That's why he ran unopposed and that's why him still a put a second rate team pon di field after firing Simoes for, as he himself said, putting a second rate team on the field.

Oi...Marklon...

Try tell dis C Rican idiaat again...a PURE FKRY im a chat.
]

Im no know nuttin bout Jamaican football first-hand , period.

Im not even did watch di video wid di replay of Tappa's interview when Tappa blaze up 'gainst the di JFF when di journalist a put im pon di spot about what is purely internal and eternal passa passa inna Jamaican football...supposedly favouritism.

Im not even know or understand Jamaican body-language and facial and verbal expressions fi understand wen a Yard man bringle proper...like Tappa did bringle when di question pop out...and in im anger...im reveal the inner workings of the JFF...im sorry sey im do so now because di JFF has cracked di whip pon im.

Dem mussi did a sid dung an a watch di man dem hotel room like some gal pickney...or else a man inform pon dem cause dem out afta curfew...is a set up ting dis mi breda...more dan likely cause dem man deh lick out 'gainst the fkry weh gwaan inna di two Panama matches...and u don know Marlon King aredy...fi im mout no join no church...is a set-up business dis...feel no way.

Dis C Rican fool a try mek it out like Tappa did have a reasoned, rational response on behalf of the JFF to explain things on his and their behalf...only because it suits his purpose to undermine Jamaica's football in this forum...

But mi tink sey most a di ites onto hhim by now...and I know I am and was, from day one mi come pon di forum.

U fi gwaan reveal dis 'wolf-inna-sheep-clothing' because mi nah romp fi do dat now....trust mi !

On point Distrib, none of the current strikers that's left on the team are as clinical as King, and I would place Cummings second in that as a good finisher as well.

Suspension I think should have being for one game. for two games that means they are headed back home to England, and may neva see them again, especially King.

The call for Mattocks I have no problems with but we can manage these two games with this current personnel. This would give Mattocks time to concentrate on his production for Vancouver and hopefully his production would earn him a spot come September qualifiers.

My greatest concern is that our attack and flow of game may be somewhat hindered with Phillips at left back. Phillips wasn't really playing a discipline defensive game Friday, even though he was very involved in our attack. Making that mental adjustment is not an easy thing, trying to do two things (two positions) on the pitch throughout the whole match when it wasn't something he was doing all along. Hopefully the coaches make the adjustment to have the defensive midfielders cover for him when he goes forward.

But this from today's Gleaner thickens the stew:

King, a long-time Reggae Boy, was actually withdrawn from the starting team for the Panama game last Friday with defender Nyron Nosworthy, because Whitmore said he had a "niggling" injury and preferred to rest him for this Friday's important WCQ game against Guatemala at 'The Office'.

"Both players (King and Nosworthy) are nursing niggling injuries and for me, it made no sense to start them in today's game and risk injuring them further," Whitmore had said on Friday ahead of the Panama game. "We will need them in the more important game against Guatemala next Friday, so we have to manage them carefully and ensure that they are fully fit and available for selection then."

As it turns out, King, not for the first time, has ruled himself out of Jamaica's team for transgressing the team's disciplinary code, given an offence that took place between the end of the game and the team's departure from Panama.

http://jamaica-gleaner.com/gleaner/20120604/sports/sports1.html

While I still have my suspicions, I am happy to see Morrison recalled, and Lovell Palmer has been playing well:

The squad sees the recall of midfielder Jason Morrison and Tremaine Stewart, as well as Lovell Palmer, Errol Stevens and Jermaine

Taylor, who is suspended for Friday's game.

The squad is completed by Donovan Ricketts, Dwayne Miller, Demar Phillips, Xavian Virgo, Nyron Nosworthy, Damion Stewart, Adrian Mariappa, Claude Davis, Rohan Reid, Ewan Grandison, Joel Senior, Keammar Daley, Luton Shelton, Ryan Johnson, Ricardo Fuller, Je-Vaughn Watson, Dane Richards and Rudolph Austin.

Replacements in the 22-man World Cup-qualifying squad are expected.

http://www.jamaicaobserver.com/sports/BA...-rules_11604871

I do agree with G DAWG that the players did not respect Tappa, but I am not so sure that Tappa "respects" them either. Until it is proven different, we will only see him play UB40s if he is ordered to, or if he is desperate. Will King and Humphrey be recalled after two games? We'll see.

It's interesting that Firparkcorner.com, a Motherwell fan site, had this to say:

Opinion among Jamaican fans seems to be split on the decision. Some argue that the squad rules are there to be obeyed but others suggest that a quiet word or a fine would have been more appropriate.

In any event it seems that Humphrey's season has now ended and he can have a few weeks relaxation before starting pre-season training at Fir Park later this month.

As it turns out, King, not for the first time, has ruled himself out of Jamaica's team for transgressing the team's disciplinary code, given an offence that took place between the end of the game and the team's departure from Panama.[/b]

No one different version a di story dis now ??!!!

So wen was di man dem unda curfew...before or after the Panama match...which version a di story wi fi believe ?

What was the offense that transgressed the team's disciplinary code?

This Gleaner version raised many more questions than it answers...and puts the other version of the 'curfew' story much in question as well.

Hopefully we will hear the players version from themselves so we can figure out di trute fi wiself.

You are correct about things as usual H.I. The two game suspensions will inevitably turn into permanent banishments. One could have seen a one game suspension for Humphrey, given that it was his first offence, if they really wanted him. I still want to see if Mariappa and Nosworthy will survive after the second game.

As for Demar, we have long commented on his inability to tackle, and to understand the defensive role of a fullback. He is more of an attacking wingback, who needs cover when the team has to defend. Morrison is recalled, so he can help to fill in the gaps when Demar heads up field, but we need a real left back. I don't like Taylor much, but Houston has been using him in that position this season, and he has reportedly played fairly well. He is not the best player, but he tackles better than Phillips, so who knows.

But we certainly know that no British-born left back will figure in this team while Tappa is manager. For all we know, a mediocrity such as Virgo, will be moved into that position.

Discipline is Key once you wrong you are wrong, I would never Call back marlon King 3 strikes he should be out wid him BBC old self, he should be reflecting how he is going to contribute to Ja success not a breaking rules. Who want sey tappa a build up story tell them, fi chuck off! Ja. is rich in talent I would go with Darren mattocks any day over a 31 year old King who is leading Chris Humphrey astray. but mi a support My reggae boyz same way! Omar Cummings is our most lethal striker for the past three year due to constant injury he is missing out on scoring goals. Mi just a pray to fada God fi mek Tappa and the chosen players mek history once more

Time we need to stop criticize, what we should do is either go to match or dont go if we dont think the team is Good. Or some one could write a letter to the Observer and Gleaner to help advising Tappa and the JFF. These are effectve tools to get an answer. But for now we have Tappa and a Straight Black, green and Gold mi sey same way mi sey Gaza nah change a BBC!

Mi breda...dis story smell wossa dan a garbage dump weh john crow flock afta...u no see sey is now TWO media version a di story put out fi public consumption...and no player interview to hear di playa dem side a di story...

Di waggontsts a jump pon the 'discipline' wagon weh di JFF always a trot out fi ride pon...is a easy ride...no true ?

When mi see a fair media interview with these players...telling their side a di story den I will form my own opinions...an mi can guarantee u...u won't see that coming out of the Jamaican media...either TV or newspapers.

Everyone know sey di JFF ongly call up dem playa yah fi answer the public outcry fi di betta UK ballas fi get a chance...dem no play dem so no one can really sey whether and how much difference they would have made...and now the 'disciplinary' caad weh most waggonists will accept as an acceptable excuse fi drop dem...di JFF mussi tink sey alla wi a idiaat

It clear sey dem neva waan dem man from time and any acceptable excuse fi drop dem serves the JFF's purpose just fine.

Like mi did done sey in annada post, more than likely a pure cussing a gwaan inna Jamaica dressing room afta these two idiaat losses to Panama and more than likely...is Marlon King lick out 'gainst the (censored) and Chris Humphrey back im up...

My money sey this is the real reason dem two playa yah get drop.!

Watchya man, I was checking out dem Panamanian gal dem inna di stands before di game, so i not surprised King and Humphrey would want fi sample dem before dem lef di country. Tappa and JFF need fi ease up a likkle without compromising overall discipline. Staying out late AFTER a game is not nearly as detrimental as doing it the night before the game. These are grown men after all.

For the indiscipline ites thrashing Tappa. Since October 2008:

(1) How many Reggae Boyz have Tappa disciplined for breaking rules?

(2) How many games have the Reggae Boyz won and loss without those players and Marlon King and Chris Humphrey since 2008.

Drop all emotions. Start using your brains, be logical and check your facts.

If Marlon King and Chris Humphrey can accept what they did was wrong. Why can't you.
