U have a lot to learn my yute bout football; for the most part that was the KIWI B team with a sprinkling a regular starters. And ours, we had a mixture A-team bench players and starters and the rest locals.

Shelton, Cummings, Taylor most of the time starters for us.

Watson & Keamar comes off bench...

Claude & Stew Peas, a return...

Stewart, virgo, Smith, the only local starters.

Boyd a local came on and scored in the second half from a feed from Shelton.

Yes the locals scored but it was Shelton who dribbled dong the KIWI and release both Stewart & Boyd.

With a side with only 3 locals that started, and two of them were outside defenders, we should have done much better against that B team, particularly defending.

I'm not impress with their overall performance and work rate, except Tremaine, he impressed.

Congrats to Tappa.

Tremaine Stewart put in a strong claim for a place in the World Cup squad and if he keeps up that level I don't see why he shouldn't be there.

Hopefully Tappa can find some useful defenders somewhere. Calude and Stew Peas on the field same time is nerve racking. Claude get so old now, him have to crouch into position to tackle like is NFL. LOL

Luton really have poor ball control. Good thing him so fast. He will be much more useful in the away games than the small National Stadium.

HI

If you review the panel interview post, you can see the raging divisions within the Jamaica football community...the discussion couldn't even finish on a proper note and was just short of becoming a full scale quarrel...the only objective opinion being Folis Williams, who was not a part of the panel.

Andrew Price sitting on the fence, the JFF man, McIntosh trying to defend against the evidence presented to him...the journalist fast and steadfast in his position, as he's always been.

Each and every one of them, first about their own personal/professional agendas before the good of the national game...and this is the way things will remain.

But all the evidence is in favour of the TV journalist's position, no questions on that score and his legitimate football questions were evaded and avoided by McIntosh, who had absolutely no football answer for them.

The key to this game was the recalling of 'Tew peas and Claude, whether they played well or not is a matter of opinion..I haven't yet watched the entire match to decide for myself but did Jamaica's entire DEFENSE, as a UNIT, play better with them in the team than in recent games...

That is the football question to ask and answer...

Some man only see individual performances...

And, would these 3 local players have been able to perform as well as they did, and score their goals, in a team made up totally of local players ?

Some man really don't understand this football game at all, based on some of their comments.

and where are the defenders based HI? If these guys are the "professionals" unnuh a clamour over, unnuh need fi look into unnuh self because I know quite a few local defenders who are better than Claude and Stew Peas at this point. Yes it was locals who scored against NZ B-Team if you must, but wasn't Omar Cummings playing against the same team and didn't even do a darn thing? The locals showed good composure and maturity in scoring the 2nd and 3rd goals, which were both clinical finishes whether u like it or not.

Good win Jamaica!!

Alot of mistakes happen but a win is a win, even more considering the circumstances(long trip, jetlag, missed flights etc)

The Boyz showed lots of fight! Big up Tappa and staff and the entire squad!

Lion if U call me name quote me properly....

I said in another post that Claude & Stew Peas are not the answer at this time....

The last time I saw Claude in Fort Lauderdale him look like him have 2 left foot, Tappa had to take him off, he was just too erractic. That was two years ago his last game for us. Now dem bring him back, he's not much different from what I saw in Fort Lauderdale 2 years ago.

In international football just having good moments is not good enough, defensive mistakes can be costly and they made too many last night, but the whole team was poor defensively, it wasn't just dem. Troy was a disaster at wing back, I don't know what happen to him.

I also said in another post that Omar Cummings did not do a thing and Stewart outshined him. And should not be on the final squad if he doesn't improve his posture and goal poaching treat on the field. The Colorado player which scored I think 12 goals in 2010 wasn't the same Cummings out there last night. He had a poor season last year and he's showing that he doesn't deserve to be on the final squad.

Ric said he did not see the game, so don't hold any of his statements about Claude & Stew Peas until he see the game first hand.

Say again JFF no need fi go a beg players fi come represent wi. A man know where Jamaica is, JFF contact information is online so plain and simple if a man really want fi wear the national colors no need for JFF a spent money (we don't have) a tek trip to England or where ever fi get a man in Jamaican jersey. They should be the one come knocking on JFF doors and not the other way around. Good game by the man dem last night, even though bad lapses we did good. God speed ahead.

Notice both Omar Cummings and Luton Sheldon are the assist men on both the 2nd and 3rd goal? To honest mi think Tremaine Stewart got a beauty of pass in first half that split the defense right on edge of 18 yard box left side..a better touch when he receive the pass and he would've walk in on the goal keeper. Both local and overseas base players them played well last night. Omar Cummings and Luton Shelton might not have score but they both were instrumental in the 2nd and 3rd goals. Overall it was a good team performance.

B team or not we did well. Before the game start and days, weeks leading up to the match many people did a say...bring in UB this and UB dat. The team did well and dats most important thing. Many now shock out of them socks with the results, we did well. 2-0 up and 3-1 up at one point. And just like some seh KiWis good have finish better, the same could be said for the Jamaica team also. We win and that's bottom line.

What I liked about Claude and Damian last night was that they were passing the ball out of defence instead of playing aim less long balls and by passing the midfield.

Most of the opportunities NZ got were from set plays so Tappa needs to work with the defenders on set pieces

Tappa dont have the level of critical thinking necessary to move Jamaica's football forward and/or to get us to the world cup in 2014. Hopefully im wrong. Only time will tell
