Jevaughn Watson was sent home from Stromgodset (Norway) without a contract. According to the Aftenposten newspaper, the 26 year old Watson was offered a trial when he failed to sign with Birmingham City after a trial in November. Watson has only 19 caps for Jamaica and was not included in the Caribbean Cup. Sporting Director Jostein Flo stated, " Watson is a good player, but not the typical defensive midfield type we are looking for. Watson was more of a box to box player, an offensive midfielder. The player is not the type we are looking for." Watson's chances of signing with the club was not helped when current Stromgodset midfielder Hanssen signed an extension with the club.
