After Speaking with Montesso, he says claude and stew peas are similar and also he says he would like to see a central

Nyron Nosworthy - who I am sure you are in contact with

Adrian Mariappa

Lloyd Doyley

These 3 players play for the same club - Watford F.C.

Ric,

Give us the run down on the Watford crew, yasso

Mi nah watch nu face...happy to answer your question.

Nosworthy...decent, run-of-the-mill defender, brings nothing extra to the table and certainly nothing in the range of intelligent passing out of the back blah blah blah...

Same applies to Doyley and Mariappa...both long-standing, experienced defenders at Watford, which makes them nothing special.

Watford is now 17th in the Championship and if their only claim to fame is that their heritage is Jamaican, then that is not enough for what Jamaica is looking for right now.

In Nosworthy's case...if you need a decent, quick centre-half who reads the game reasonably well to compliment a more composed, intelligent defender...then he's as good as anyone else who's out there...but nothing special.

With Claude and 'Tew Peas back in the mix...along with whoever else might be considered in that style of player...Jamaica has more than enough candidates to consider but...

If you're looking at top-class full backs, you must look higher than the Championship for the quality Jamaica needs.

Tappa and Montesso has to accept that this classy, Ricardo Carvalho-type defender they are looking for is just not available to Jamaica, or many other teams for that matter.

A combination of 'Tew Peas/Claude, along with Shavar Thomas, with Jason Morrison in front of them MIGHT give them the cohesion and composure defensively, with the intelligent distribution they would like to build the team on and around.

At the end of the day, Jamaica might still have to accept the 'lick-foot' defending and counter-attack game we saw against NZ, if that will achieve the results we need.
