Jamatl, what's this story behind players having their passport before being invited to the squad ? Is it a requirement that all English residents with Jamaican heritage must possess such document ? What's the significants of holding a Jamaican passport prior to being invited to the national team ?

We need to invite the eligible players, and like another forum ites has mentioned in another thread, if it was the US they would have done all the process for the individual, Jamaica need players and should be the one reaching out...


Not only is it the rules, but it is also a sign of commitment.

You need to have a passport of the country you are representing.

Why invite people who are not interested and/or do not have any intent of ever playing for Jamaica? Why even mention foreign nationals when it comes to Ja squad selection?

Without a Jamaican passport, you are a foreign national. This is not allowed.
