H.I., I am in favour of Morrison as our prime holding mid. Jason works just as hard, if not harder than Austin. As for Austin, he is not really a right back, since he lacks the mobility and the surgical tackling skills. Mascherano and Yaya Toure both played in central defence for Pep whe he needed them to, but these are great players, who are much above our boy. I am not writing Austin out of the team, and I doubt that Tappa will, but if he continues to show no real improvement, then we must drop him.

In central defence, I think that Dicoy and Shavar are our best bets, but Dicoy's knee injury will not heal before the China game. Tappa likes Taylor, even though I am wary of him, so I would expect that he will get the start. Reid played better than I thought he could during the Cup, but I think that we need to start looking abroad for some central defending depth.

I am interested to see who will get called as we go forward, because I suspect that few will be.
