The coaching staff was also pleased with the performance of the substitutes, particularly Keammar Daley, who played just behind the front three.
"This is what they are here for, once we can pull out a player and put in another player and get the same quality, that is what we are looking for," said a pleased Whitmore.
"I'm very pleased with Keammar Daley when he went on... I think (he) brought something to the game that we were lacking, and I keep saying 'Keammar Daley just needs to get the confidence and the belief that he's the one to replace the Theodore Whitmore that we've been talking about,'" he declared.
"the confidence & belief" TAPPA, good motivational talk for this yute; dwo start him though cause it's a different mental adjustment coming off the bench to being a starter.
Let him grow into becoming one, not rushed.....
HI
We buck up again
Weh mi just sey pon the other post...he is the next one but...
How im a go grow and develop into what Tappa and Jamaica needs him to be if he doesn't start and Jamaica's game is built around him when Jamaica needs to attack and slaughter likkle bwoy sides like Grenada...that's where the confidence is instilled.
I'm not advocating throwing out defensive stability that Austin provides; its all about horses for courses.
Tappa has the luxury now of having both options to use.
Lol it's all good....
I don't mind him starting against teams like Grenada, but he's not ready to start against stronger teams; and I think we should set our sights higher while developing our younger like KEMAR, SMITH, BOYD etc.
To be honest RIC, my mind has gone beyond Kemar, i'm more focused on a bigger picture to see what JERMAINE BECKFORD, CHRIS HUMPHRIES, ZAVON HINES, JOBI NCANUFF, DARREN PRATLEY, DANIEL GORDON and -hopefully JERMAINE PENNANT change his mind- will bring to our table.
For us to be on a consistent par with the USA/MEX the inclusion of these experience professionals are crucial as to what they will bring to the table.
It's imperative that give these guys get a serious look in upcoming friendlies before qualifying.
I want us to succeed in this GCC, but if should somehow make the finals i'm not so sure if the JFF will continue to pursue these Brittons.
At the very least let them show they are better positionally than what our current squad is made up of.
This current group of R'BOYZ need to be challenged to spur them on to fulfill their potential. What better way to accomplish this than to draft 6-7 professional Brits into the squad to compete with them.
