According to Portmore United executive Howard McIntosh, an MLS club is deep in the fight for Jamaica midfield prodigy Randolph Austin with Premiership risers Stoke and a Brasileiro outfit.
Though Stoke appear to have the early edge, the club are taking the MLS offer very seriously.
"We're very excited about the prospects for Rudolph and are delighted with the very positive interest shown by Stoke City," he told the Jamaica Observer. "Currently, we are in discussions with Stoke and two other serious and significant interests from Brazil and MLS in the USA."
"We want the best for the player and the English Premier League is the best league in the world and we are inclined to lean in that direction, but we're also committed to looking at all the options available in the best interest of the player and the club."

Austin should stay in the EPL. The EPL at 22 what a start. Shelton was 21.
Shelton was the youngest player to play in the EPL
Austin is next

This is a truly great compliment to an outstanding young man. All parties involved eventually would like to capitalize on his future resale value to a big EPL club. IMO, Austin should take the deal with most guaranteed upfront money and the team whose system he fits the most. As Shelton has found out a big $$$$ in a team system that does not fit your style of play can hinder your career.
