After reviewing the last 5 matches played, where we have utilized the 3 5 2 system. I conclude, that this system best suits our style of play.
Finding the personnel to fill the areas alloted in my view is not that difficult, and as such my team would be as follows:
GK: Donavon Ricketts
RCB - Jermaine Taylor SWP - Simon Ford LCB - Shavar Thomas
LWM - Demar Phillips LCM - Rudolph Austin CAM - Ricardo Gardner RCM - Tyrone Marshall RWM - Omar Daley
RST - Marlon King LST - Ricardo Fuller
I am sure alot of people will not understand why I give Gardner the centre attacking midfield role, alas, his goals and work ethic speaks for itself.
I believe it is time for us to stop experimenting with what we have and start to gel positions and expectations of players. Austin should not be placed on the wing, when we have 3 competent players to run there...
This is not panic...just a look at what maybe in our future...

I am still not sure why we are not making more effort to find new goalkeepers. Ricketts is now past prime and we need to start giving someone else more experience in these friendlys

PhoQry... You are down there and should have a better knowledge of who and who are the better keepers in Jamaica... All we are saying is that somebody must be better than Ricketts... Or should that be RUCKETTS?
When last him keep a clean sheet? The man is a sieve and we have been trying with him since 2000 with little or no success... What about that yute that was rated as the best goalkeeper in the world at the U-20 World Cups when Simoes was here last time?... Is what?... Him start play forward now and stop keep?... We just looking for a better option because Rucketts is not inspiring any confidence right now.

Bredren don't worry bout Ricketts. He isn't even close to what is usually the down side of his career, age wise. If he stays committed to been a professional and gets another chance in a good league he will be our number one for many years to come. From the few clips that I have seen, the goals that he have allowed recently have been well placed shots. A keeper is only as good as his defence. Currently we are allowing do many clear shots at goal. Our keeper really misses Claude, Stew Peas or even Wild Tyrone back there.

How many a the goals that have been scored on Ricketts over the last five matches can be attributed to him screwing up? De ites dem need to be fair in dem criticism iyah!
pHoQry your team look workable but mi caan undastand what yuh see in a Jermaine Taylor dat Pepe Goodison doan hav. His he quicker than Pepe? Does he read the game better than Pepe? Does he command the same respect as Pepe? Even Shavar don't give us anything that Pepe cannot give. He is not quickerf or read the game better than Goodison. My back three would not have Shavar and Jermaine on the field at the same time.
Also, wi dun know sey Austin a your youth, yuh a talk bout him from eons ago but I think the team is stronger with him at new spot that Rene has him. Nutten nuh wrong wid him and Daley switching position. I think the right side will be much stronger with current format that Rene adopted. Bibi at CM not cutting it for not with the return of Andy Williams. Bibi should stay at LCM with Phillips wide of him. With that being said what should we do with Tyrone Marshall? Easy put him around the back with Pepe and Ford. Therefore my eleven would look as follows:
Ricketts
Marshall(RCB) Ford(CB) Goodison(LCB)
Austin(RWM) Daley(RM) Williams(CM) Gardner(LM) Phillips(LWM)
Fuller King

On top of this in my opinion we need to go 4 deep at every position to make it to S.Africa. There will be injuries and club commitments. Looking at my above A-C squad we could find competent players to even form a D side.
GK:D.Kerr
LCB:O.Thompson CB:D.Breakenridge RCB:A.Reid
LWM:S.Deroux LCM:G.Reid CM:J.Hue RCM:R.Langley RWM:J.Euell
FW:J.Grant FW:O.White
We have enough talent to go 4 deep, Rene have nuff talent to work with. All we need is execution, conditioning and confidence.
