What ato know? Is he some kind of track and field science guru? Bolt ran 9.76 in JA and was within the legal wind limit, end of story. U and Ato the science genius didn't have to review no tape. The IAAF did and confirmed the time.
Truetrini we all see television footage after the the race in JA. How did you and Ato break the race down to ease your doubts? Educate us. Are you guys the review backup for the IAAF?
Ato is my friend and I asked if if he thought the race was legit?
He said yes and he said look at the flag, and check the guys form, stride and the distance he put on the other excellent sprinters.
As a matter of fact Ato Boldon is a track guru, among the best there is, and he showed me that I was wrong, I came here and said that I was wrong, I even said that the run in T&T a week later was even more impressive as he started late, caught the field and shut down to a wlak after about 75 meters and still ran 9.92.
The fella made me a believer after that and I felt that he would be big this year.
what had me was the fact that he never ran as fast in the 100 and that was only his 3rd 100 meters! Yet he ran 9.76 at the time, I thought maybe the wind was stronger etc.
I always admired his talent, but NEVER did I expect these times and types of performances from him....what is scary for me is that I feel he can run faster and that he did not even run all the way thru in his race last night....SCARY!

The new comers here dont know my admiration for Jamaican athletes and my posts in the past saying that there must be something in Jamaica that makes dem fellas run so damn fast!
Ato explained that track and field is a big thing in Jamaica and that their meets are well organized, well attended and always great!

all I am saying is dat I never disrespect Bolt, I said I was wrong, I asked my fren to help me with the race and he showed me why I was wrong and showed me how good bolt was and how legit his 9.76 run was.

Ok u admitted u were wrong. Now just admit that u were stupid also. How can the IAAF ratify a time and u think it's not legit?
ahmmm dey ratified a time in T&T when two trinis runners ran sub 10's I KNOW dat was a shit time also.
Those two trini runners NEVER even came close to dat time again..and dey ran it in Trinidad.
Those two Brown and Burns have yet to even come close to a sub 10 again...both times were ratified by IAAF and anyone who knows track knows dat it is ridiculous.
Timer was wrong, track was too short or wind gauge was broken
That is not something new..has happened before! Will happen again!
So what? Dem ratified Justin gatlin too!

I have stated here on more than one occasion that I marvel at how such a small nation could produce such great quantities of outstanding athletes!
I can hardly dis Jamaica as I am forever tied to jamaica thru my ex wife...know what that means for my children?
I doubted Bolt's run initially as I am a track fan and he had never run ANYTHING close to that time before and as a matter of FACT, he had run very few competitive 100m races.
I was skeptical as I was when Marc Burns of T&T and Darrel brown also of T&T ran sub ten races.
I spoke to my fren Ato and he quietly showed me the error of my ways.
I have always maintained that he was a phenom at 200m and probaly was better at the 400 than even he himself realized!
He ran a 9.92 in T&T that I happened to witness live and I was astounded at the ease in which Bolt won, from a very poor start he quickly overhauled his opponents and won after shutting dow at around the 75 m mark...still under 10 secs and it as then I KNEW for a fact that he was going to light up the 100m circuit this year.
I made a prediction that he would win over Gay to Ato Boldon and Ato said that he agreed, even though he had seen Gay win in the US and was impressed with his win, h still felt that jamaica had something special in Bolt.
Did I expect him to break the world record in his 3rd race over 100m for the year?
No!
Did I expect him to run very fast? Yes, especially after seeing him destroy the field in T&T!
If there is anyone sensitive around here is you guys who look for the slightest hint of disrespect from a trini.

I asked this question in 2002. I asked again in 2003 and 2004. I asked in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and still no answer. Now it's 2008 and I ask again, what are all these Trini's doing posting on the Jamaica Reggaeboyz website/forum? Why are they allowed here, for what reason? I have never been to a Trinidian's website/forum because there is no need to. Why should I do that. Trini websites are for Trini's and Jamaican websites are for the Jamaicans. What are all these Trini's doing on our forum? You know why because they always want to surround themselves with the best, with the masters of everything, the Jamaicans, that's why. What would Cubans be doing on an American forum or visa versa? What would a Spaniard be doing on a French forum or visa versa? These Trini's come here to cause trouble and get us to argue amongst ourselves over nothing. We should not entertain any discussion with these Trini's. When they post something just start a new tread where us Jamaicans can speak only to each other.
