According to a site out in cyberspace, 7 of the 10 fastest 100 have been run by Jamaicans - Asafa 6 - Bolt 1....cant wait for the JA trials....will Bolt run both the 100 and 200?

bolt said mills will decide if he runs the 100m soon. They did no preparation for the 100m, the program is strictly a 200m program. I don't think Mills can stop him from doing the double.

i really want to see Usain's program, because it's 2 months to the Olympics and no way his program is designed for him to run so fast! some serious times is probably in the pipelines, at least 19.4

NEW YORK (AP)—Like a bolt out of nowhere, Usain Bolt is now the world’s fastest man.
The Jamaican runner, who doesn’t even consider the 100 meters his best race, set the world record Saturday night with a time of 9.72 seconds, .02 seconds faster than the old record held by his countryman, Asafa Powell.
He was using the 100 for “speed work” and to avoid having to run the more grueling 400, when, suddenly, he ran the world’s second-fastest time last month at 9.76. Even then, he said he wasn’t sure if he would give up the 400 meters for the 100 for the Beijing Olympics.
Hard to imagine he has any choice now.
Unfurling his lanky frame—listed at 6-foot-4, but probably more like 6-5 and, either way, considered too tall for this kind of speed work—he created a big-time gap between himself and Tyson Gay at about the halfway point, then routed him to the finish line.
Gay, the best sprinter in America, finished in 9.85.

I don't think Danny should let Blake run anymore for the season. he is having injuries that can be attributed to growth (getting taller), Bolt had similar problems. Of course i don't know for sure .

The problem with our relays is we don't have any camps. We generally show up at a major championship and then we practice. That is not good enough! France ran a sub 38 in 2005 and their fastest runner was a 110 hurdler
Simply incredible! Bolt is just a freak in every sense of the word. I think Jamaicans as a whole have always shown him more love than Asafa so it should be interesting to see how the crowd respond at the trial.
Tyson's 9.85 is also fantastic this early in the season which equals his own PB.
