Striker Dean Sturridge says Dave Jones gave his Wolves players "some real stick" during half-time on Tuesday, which prompted a win over Walsall.
Sturridge has revealed that the boss dished out a roasting to his team after their first-half display fell well short of the standards which Jones demands.
The Molineux promotion chasers struggled to make an impact in the opening 45 minutes against their relegation threatened neighbours. However, in the second half, they smashed three goals past The Saddlers to strengthen their grip on top spot in the First Division.
"The boss had a real go at us during the break," admitted the former Derby County forward. "He gave us some real stick - and it certainly worked."
Sturridge grabbed two more goals in the rout to take his tally for Wolves to 17 in 18 league starts since his loan move from Leicester City, which was then turned into a £350,000 permanent switch.
The striker says Wolves are determined to keep winning because they want to hit the Premiership as champions.

Can we try and get a comprehensive list of players born in Britain with Jamaican parents/grandparents or parent/grandparent.
Especially younger players - these are the boys who could be playing in the future.
I will start the list - here are some young English born players I believe can play for the Reggae Boyz, they are all under 23.
Richard Langley (QPR) Jobi McAnuff (Wimbledon) Gavin Gordon (Cardiff) Gavin Holligan (Wycombe) Nathan Ellington (Bristol Rovers) Tesfaye Bramble (Southend) Aaron Lescott (Stockport) Danny Webber (Man Utd) Trevor Benjamin (Leicester) Stevland Angus (Bournemouth) Marcus Bent (Ipswich) someone on the Arsenal youth team, either Jerome Thomas or Jermaine Brown (maybe both).
There must be many more in the lower divisions or in youth teams - DO YOU KNOW OF ANYONE? IF SO ADD THEM TO THE LIST. If you get them interested at this stage in their career you have a player for life under FIFA rules. For example Michael Ricketts started at Walsall, if he had his Jamaican roots spotted then he could have been asked to play before England would ever had invited him.
Here are some other older players I believe can also play
Michael Duberry (leeds) Jermaine Darlington (QPR) Jason Euell (Charlton)
IF YOU KNOW OF ANYBODY ELSE OR IF MY INFORMATION IS WRONG PLEASE ADD OR AMEND.

Jason Euell (Charlton) I think is already an English player, as he represented England Under-21.
We need to look at young players to form our team for the 2006 campaign. Sturridge said he could not see himself wearing any other colour than England's. For that I said forget him! Also, Sturridge will be too old for our world cup campaign come 2006. He will be then 34.
If he cannot feel it for the Rock, we don't need him.

Enough with the English players. Most of them are marginal and would not make a difference to the Reggae Boyz.
We have a few cornerstone players overseas (K. Kelly, J. Johnson, Bibi, Nandi, Goodison) as well as those in the MLS that will form the core of the team for 2006. Lets not jump at players because they have Jamaica parentage as alot of them probably have only a secondary desire to play for Jamaica.
We should be more concerned about devolping our local players (Johnathan Williams, Omar Daley, Chris Nicholas, Alien Whittaker etc.) and getting them overseas contracts before thinking of comprising the team of English players. This is the time to take our home grown players forward along with the program.

Jermaine Pennant scored a hattrick in his first start for Arsenal against South Hampton yesterday. There were 3 good goals too. Arsenal beat South Hampton 6 - 1. The other 3 goals were scored by Pirez.
I listened to the interview with Pennant and he sound a little like a Jamaican. It seems like he will be the next young star to buss at Arsenal. Should we go for him before England grab him ?
Andy, its time you recommend yourself, you have shown more committment and allegiance to JA than 9/10th of the players you have recommended. I'm ready if the JFF should choose to call.

Double...Pennant is locked in for England and wouldn't be able to represent us. He has played numerous games for England at the U-21 level and some of those games were official games...

Strange, but I don't see importing and local development as mutually exclusive. I think they are two valid tools for developing a sizable player pool, particularly one made up of professional-type players. The key is to choose foreigners who are not only outstanding but who will fit in. To date, IMO only Langley, Jamie Lawrence and Darryl Powell really have a yard-style in their game of all the imports. Micah Hyde was looking that way for a while but the more I watch him the stiffer he looks.

I cant even keep track anymore, all wi need fi know his that some guy playing in england has a jamaican cousin or something, and we start recommending him for a call up, whether he's good or not. Besides Deon Burton none has really stood out for jamaica(in my opinion). Everyday is another one, mi brain a dazzle mi.
By the way I heard that Andy Cole's half brother on his mother side has a wife who's father is half jamaican. Can we give Andy Cole call up.
