In order to stay up Stoke City will have to go shopping. The club is in football as a business.......They are not in this for love. The manager will have to bring at least 6 new people in and that includes securing the services of at least 2 more strikers.UUuhh?
Yep, I said it. His Majesty Ricardo "Wily Boo" Fuller will be sharing time up front unless he can crank out at least 3 goals in the first 5 matches.

Loyalty is one thing, business is another.

DEMAR PHILLIPS?
He will be shipped off to another club as soon as Tony Pulis gets a chance. Pulis will be forced to create more room to aquire more players............. and some of these players come with a hefty price tag(even if they are not worth crap). \:\)
Stoke earns an automatic 35 million pound windfall by just being in the Prem so they have to use it wisely. They have already locked Fuller into a contract so they don't have to worry about him. Trust me, they will spend about 20 million on new players.

The only way Demar can stay in the Premiership is if he CANNOT get a new work permit. \:D
That is the cold hard truth. Demar has everything except, a "Premiership body"........Sorry, but they don't play the "Beautiful Game" in the Premiership.

No Work Permit Status

Demar might benefit from this situation because if he transfers out on a loan to a new club then that new club will have to secure a work permit for him. Demar needs to use this time to establish himself at Stoke........ and also work with Fuller in the gym. Fuller looks like he has spent a lot of time on a strength and conditioning program.

Very well said!!Finally i see someone understands this fifa ranking and how it affects our players.

As far as EPL body is concern i disagree arguably d best player in d EPL C.Ronaldo is not a robust or Physical player but his skillset and quickness makes him very sucessful...not to compare Phillips to him,jus saying hes not d only one.I just think he needs time and he will adjust. We need to remember a certain skinny 18 yr old Jamaican making d transfermation to a proven EPL veteran.

My Yute u actually comparing C Ronoldo physique to Phillips? are u serious? Phillips is still smaller than bibbi was at that stage. even the players in prem that are same height as phillips them are thicker ex Tooney, Tevez, messi, the mex yute fi Barcelona could go on... phillips def too light.. fi mek in prem he need sublime skills like a messi.

I think Phillips will be loan out to a League Championship club. I think he should also so look at France, Spain or Portugal. But he definately has the work ethic, heart and professionalism.

Great speech and observations people, BUT Demar actually when I last saw him like about a week ago, he had some more stature to him. Also, saw him on his own training regiment running into the hills of York every morning that I was present. He has gained a good (10)lbs. The skill is there as I also saw him pracicing for well over 4hrs. after the hill running. He should be OK ANYWHERE he is placed.

As I mentioned before he was the reggaeboyz player of the year in 2007 without a doubt. He will be tremedous contributor in 2008 once again as a tireless worker on the left side.

Respect this youth's game and have to give him A+ for attitude. Wish him all the best. Tony Pulis tends to exclude the mid-field, maybe that's why it is difficult for him to get a game in Stoke's midfield, but I expect him to be a star in this world cup campaign.
