Interesting...Simoes,mentioned losing isn't a bad thing, he says it tells you who you are: Woow then why did HB fire Bora???
National Training center: Simoes, states that it doesn't matter where the academy is located if it is for youth developement, wonder if he will endorse the St. Bess location? Or, will this be interpreted as meaning we need it in kingston, since we are poor and can not build an academy with housing in St. Bess ( for all RBZ teams) and a senior housing near the OFFICE?
Simoes, kit many important issues..one i like was WHY ARE WE STILL WITHOUT A MAJOR KIT SPONSOR?
WELCOME BACK MY SIMOES...
PS: Still not my 1st choice as TD.
'94 I didn't want to come, now I was dying to come back.... Jamaica has STRENGTH WITHIN that cannot be identified anywhere else!.....
I believe we are in a very good situation; Burrell made the right move to bring Simoes back. Bora was a little too stubborn in his thinking and it cost him his job.
If Bora had made the adjustment in his player selection after the Swithzerland game in Fort Lauderdale he probably would have survived.
The local base players needed more development mentally and tactically before being trust into high level international games, and Bora refuses to acknowledge that. In the end results count, no matter how you slice it.
Rene is smarter than that; he'll use Jamaica's top 1 or 2 local base player in any meaningful way. The bulk of the team are those players abroad who have paid the price, worked hard to be where they at, and who has assimilated to international football environment. A very different football that is played in the NPL.
Only gifted players out of our top league have made it abroad. Thank God we have quite a few gifted ones there....

Bora did not draw a line as to when he would stop the bleeding.
One thing I realize about top professional managers they know in top flight football you need talent to win; there is no getting around it.
It is hard work, pain and job security risk to try and develop top football with less of a talent and experience. Bora was trying to do that with the BoyZ; it cost him his job in the end.
Nobody in football is that patient to allow a coach being paid so much money to spend years to build a team. This is a different era and time. That is why Bora has so mant short stinct in other nations; he's always trying to build from scrath, and that is an exhausting, risky thing to do today when most are looking for immediate results and success.
In addiction, Jamaica's NPL is not at the level where it can support a coaches notion of building from scratch.
