Jamatl, Prancing Tiger, then I no mus' know who Austin is? As Cruyff said, we talked about him the first time he came to FLL. We saw both him and JT in the back. But as Cruyff reminded me he did insist that Austin was a more solid (we don't use words like 'better' in our conversations) player. That was in the good old days of KK and friends.
I'm trying to remember that cold night at FIU campus when they had that hurry come practice match, I will look for the names.
There was a time when there was some thought as to the future of our football and youth players were given an opportunity and given a chance. Because of that idea, you all got to see Austin show how he has developed because unlike Maxwell's theory (Geoffrey if you reading, I still disagree with you) that players aren't born Senior players. You have to start them somewhere.

Austin played with the 2005 U20 Jamaica that some of us so in Florida. He had a knee injury in 2006 and while he was with Portmore United. He was/is a solid student who studies at Utech.
Cruyff has been saying his name for awhile, not sure what high school he attended. He looked very comfortable, confident and intelligent playing with the professionals last night.
. . .he went to Clarendon College. He would already be a professional if he hadn't been bothered with so many injuries(including a back problem) the last few years. As a 17-year old he walked into our SuperLeague team as a sweeper while still a schoolboy. Even at that point he could have started for a Premier League team IMHO-unfortunately we never qualified for the Premier League and he had to move on because there's no way a player of his talent could have stayed in the SuperLeague. In watching youth players over the years in Jamaica I have not seen many players with the composure, technique and instincts that he had as a teenager. He's maturing well, it was 4 training sessions before I ever heard him say anything, now I see him captaining JA's youth teams and barking out orders. Hopefully he'll be a little luckier with injuries the next few years.
That's why JT got more exposure, I hadn't realized that he was out for a while. I just assumed if JT was playing he was beside him.
I thought by now, the following would be starting players:
Richard Kentish KK Jermaine Taylor Rudolph Austin
Oh, well, I can't have everything. I notice the coach not getting much mention.
In defense of CB, he used to get blame for everything and when Jagga tell unu that the players need to shoulder the blame nobody listen. Now likkle scrimmage play and Austin, Bibi et al, ears a ring off. And only 1 or 2 acknowledge the coach.
Is okay, Cruyff, tell them again who in my Fave 5!

The weekend back in Jamaica was truly nice. The key word with Austin is composure. Our squad needs more time training and playing together to get some better understanding. If JT needs to step if he wants to start in the backline, no more free work permit CAPS matches fe him. Also, Teofore Bennett was at the match in the stands and we should hear him moving to a new club soon.
I have one question bout de match Sunday night. Who mark de rahtid field? The field looked awful and the double lines on the side of the field facing the Grandstand did not help one bit!
Anyway, watched the game and I'm happy for the victory. However, there's a lot of work to be done. Our push into the opponents final third still need some TEAM play. Fuller, Shelton, and Campbell-Ryce all seem to be doing their own thing. I don't think Fuller and Shelton make a good front pair. It would be nice to see either of them pair with a player like Marlon King or Teofore Bennett. Campbell-Ryce work rate is the main reason for his starting role over JJ. Ryce tracks the play in the defensive third better than JJ (Omar Daley's inclusion for Wednesday's game should add a little more competition for the right midfield position).
Great to see Bibi on the score sheet (2X). However, I was not blown over by his performance. He did not seem all that comfortable on the ball in the middle of the pitch. His first touch seem too suspect for the role that Tappa is asking him to play. However, with time and practice he may be able to deliver and shut folks like me up. Always enjoy watching Rudy Austin. I saw him play in FLL a few years ago with the U20s and have been impressed with him ever since. Good play on both sides of the ball and he's the real deal ( another player that can play out wide right if needed).
Oneil Thompson looked solid and his performance give the coaches some option with the likes of Khari Stephenson waiting in the wings. Our defenders did ther job and the quality of the Salvadorian team did not give them much worry. Shavar Thomas looked solid and Marshall and Stewart did not raise anybody's(yardies) blood pressure.
Again, a good victory but I want to see this squad get a few more games to see where we really stand.

I rate Fuller as a player he has good foot to ball movement, but he needs to understand another level of football, the great Ronaldino foot to ball is out of this world, but when you see him play in an international match, hardly an footwork now and then... its not about how much man you can shift, and loose the ball, and when you loose the ball, fight back for it... Take a page out of Ryce book. If fuller not careful him end up like Walter boyd, looking for the ball to always drop at him foot. and then turn round and fix up him shirt
With Oneil Thomnpson and Austin in the middle it would be very deifficult for a team to get through the center of our defense. I also like the fact that the team has two midfielders playing deep that can cover for the wingbacks.
Let Fuller play in right midfield or center midfield and create for Shelton and himself. If Bibi can score two goals in that role, how many goals would Fuller score?
Bloodfire... Then is how long mi a bawl.. Bibi pon the left, fuller on the right..
Wha... Ah tru mi nuh have big ball resume like zee, jahjesty and moby. Is it bcoz mi naw mek out like mi used to play like xy??
It must be bcoz mi nuh have a forum name like federal baller or coach.. Or bcoz mi a nuh scout like lincs and jamatl.??
Ah coulda wha... I have been saying this from time.. Fuller on the fackin right, Bibi pon di lef.
Now we have cover in the likes of Campbell-Ryce who can play on both sides...
And what is frightening is how we like to pigeon hole players.
With the fact that our program always starts late. And I havn't seen anything to suggest it will be otherwise. The fact that from 19 how long our Boyz have never ever looked like a team. They dont seem they will ever learn how to do so in the near future. I cant remember any pass game when someone hasn't commented how they the Boyz look disjointed and 11 individuals rather than 1 team, it should now be a requirement for the obvious short term fix, that all reggaeboyz should have the ability to play more than one position.
I cant believe any player except the goalkeeper could really sit there in this day and age and not think when the squad for the world cup is selected, its the players that will offer the coach the most flexability is where selection priority will shine.
Anyway, congratulations to the boyz on the win.. Not really impressed with the performance reported, but it is exciting to know that we have replacements and cover for ever role.
A fitness regime, must be implemented straight away...
And someone please tell the powers that be, that a B team must be created with immediate effect.

I beg to disagree! Remember the Brasil game, and the games leading up to the 2006 qualifiers.
