Nice performance boyz! The passing from midfield to forward will get better by June. The midfielders getting back on defence was good to see. Bibi man of the match. Philips played well, Marshall and Thomas played steady at the back.
King, Davis and Nosworthy could make the team very strong.

Nice performance....the boyz are back. I agree the King, Davis and Nosworthy would make the sqaud better. Marshall did not play well today, too many mistakes. Bibi was definately the man of the match, Tapa did the right thing by playing bibi in an attacking role. Austin & Thomas played well as did the goalkeepers. My second man of the match apart from Austin was Campbell-Rycle, what a work rate. He played both ways. Fuller had his typical reggaeboyz game, did not really do much today. Shelton played very well up front. Dane Richards was lost when he came on and I was disappointed with JJ's performance once he came on. The Boyz should have won 5-0 or more. El Salvador did not event put up a good fight. But, this is a good start for the Boyz and I expect an even better peformance on Wednesday against Guatemala, a much better team than El Salvador.

I just got back from the match team looked decent. The spectators need to be a bit more vocal add vibes to the match, for the most part they sat down the entire match. Shavar, Spoon, Demar, Austin looked good. We have to make significant to qualify for the CONCACAF final round in 2009.

I also had a brief chat with Bruce Murray after the match. We still need to find another right back. Stew Peas was solid but we apparently have no depth.

Here I go again here is the right side for the boyz

. . .the best right back for Jamaica is Austin IMHO jamatl.
El Salva was not really a test, but good for preparation to play better teams.
Ryce adds some creativity to the right midfield, but in the middle against tougher teams we'll be lacking. We need a creative touch in the middle to handle pressure and for creative distribution. Is Jerry Hue the answer? I think coaches are looking at his work rate alongside his age and probably have decided that he may not last.
The game was a bit scrappy; yard need more practice; they need some sharpness, haven't played together for awhile so there is rustiness. Bibi need to practice free kicks...team defensive response was great.

Jamaica's performance was not outstanding but was good enough to beat a substandard El Salvador team (can't believe the Cemtral Americans have fallen to such a low level, though they say their team is a young one).
Occasionally, Jamaica's football was good but they were given a lot of space to move the ball around. This fact will not happen against better teams. Jamaica's pace and physicality troubled El Salvador all game. This is where Jamaica (and most Caribbean teams) may an advantage over all the other CONCACAF teams in my opinion, probably with the exception of Honduras and Costa Rica.
Where Jamaica must improve is tactical discipline, which will be needed to compete consistently against teams like Mexico and the USA.
Nonetheless, the win should boost morale and give Jamaica a basis on which to provide better performances.
Israel i agree with the free kicks and also sharpness, but i would like to add a few things. Composure is lacking with players and some type of professionalism. Watching the game i can tell you football has changed and alot of our players are playing much better. We still have that stereotype of being ruff and it will hurt us down the road. Unfortunately Thomas made a good tackle and the call went against him, thats due to the stereotype and a bad call. Bibi played an excellent game and cemented his place as our midfield maestro. Khari will also be a pillar of strength for us as well as Thomas and Rudy ( although his experience will be question ) Campbell-Ryce should be a fixed player cause him nuh stop run but him need to learn fi relax sometimes pick his battles it will cost him. All and all against a team that we should have beaten we did, i hope we can find strength for the tougher teams. Our teams needs to learn something about dealing with officials and composure since body language never lies. Its a good start for the team and we can build on a few things. Whitmore did a good job with the subs but cant judge him just after one game. Seems like the players will open up to him since he walk down that road already. 2010 is still a reality and with the talent that we posses we can make it happen.

I think Austin at right back is a waste. He needs to be in the central holding midfield. He has size, pace and pass the ball well. He will only get better. Remember he was injured for a year and a half and just started to play back this summer. He is the best we have at the position. Also, I think we need Hue or Andy in front of him NOT Bibi. I believe we lacked a true playmaker yesterday.
