Boxhill is gone!!!!!!!!! great. What have he done for football??? Burrell- 3 FIFA tournament, Caribbean champs, support the game financially when he was not in office. If it was not for him a lot of the teams would fold.
Box-football-Kill- Girls qualified for FIFA tournament. Most fans care about the reggae boyz not the girlz. Under 20 won Pan-am silver-not bad but dont forget it was agaisnt 3RD string teams because the under world cup was in progress.
If we want to see Jamaica football progress we should be happy because time is ticking on the road to Africa clock.
If di man seh him get undermined every where him turned, dem seh is a lie.
If di man seh him couldn't do him job because some one buy out everybody else fi a piece a bread dem seh him lie.
If di man seh dat it no mek no sense fi try run a programme becuz di former programme runner a buy out everything dem seh him lie.
Den if him not running again becuz him cyaan get no vote because dose who reject him get buy out den is a lie?
Word of caution to the next candidates mek sure you have nuff flour!
How different is this from our general elections? Same ol' same ol'. No interest in moving the country/programme forward, all about serving self.
I tell you nuff man and woman have plenty fi account for on the day of Judgement! God nah sleep.
Miss P, a utter garbage you a talk this time. If Burrell was promoting self, him would not need the JFF at this time. Unless something happen to Warner and Blatter, Burrell will not lose his lofty positions within FIFA. Boxhill has been a waste of time...a whole heap of waste. Thank God him gwaan and I pray that Burrel come back. I remember the Heron Dale legacy and where Jamaica went under Burrel's stewardship. Nuff a onnuh nuh understand our legacy...all onnu do a tear dung with rumors and rumors with toatl disregard for the facts

Jamaica qualified for the senior WC in 1998, U17 WC in 1999, and U20 WC in 2001; thus, any person who becomes JFF president in the future will be judged by those lofty standards set by the president who was at the helm when those achievements occured. With this statement in mind, I believe unless the future president delivers a WC berth(s), there will be a change in the JFF presidency every four years. This would not bode well for Jamaican football.
Not supporting Boxhill but speaking in general, you need stability at the highest levels of Jamaican football to attract the most qualified into the game (this includes the best coaches and related personnel). A failure or two should not be the basis for presidential change. The JFF president should be allowed to implement and oversee his/her goals and objectives if they are "bearing fruit."
A change in presidency every four years with new ideas will disrupt the development of football in Jamaica. What if Jamaica doesn't qualify for WC 2010, will Burrell be asked to step down, as he did when JA failed to make it to East Asia in 2002? Jamaica's football needs years of development to take place before it can be viewed as a serious competitor in global football.
I think a frequent change in the presidency could retard Jamaica's football progress.
Shaggy, some see and blind, hear and deaf. From the time it was known that's what the man used to do from time past, some still inna denial. When man whe tek free computer and free trip seh a nuff flour pay fah, some still refuse to believe. But is life!
