I was having a coversation with a friend of mine and the following discussion came up.If players like Edgar Davids and Clarence Seedorf (born in Suriname), Jocelyn Angola (correct spelling?)& Lilian Thurham-Guadaloupe just to name a few Caribbean pruducts had stayed in CONCACAF.(1) Would they have realized their full potential? (2)Could they have made the same impact on the world stage as Dwight Yorke did to a lesser extent? (3)Would their native countries have been better off? There are many players that were born in this region and have gone on to represent other (mostly)European nations without those countries acknowledging their contribution(s).What do you think?Would they have ended up not being a factor in the same breath as Dwight Yorke & Latapy (T&T),Shaun Goater (Bermuda)or Owen Hargreaves of Bayern Munich (Born in Canada selected for England)etc.

This is the exact reason we need to big up the youths currently in the region. If not they'll have to take their talents elsewhere and then we'll be left with alot of "what ifs?"
