According to the RJR commentators, Boyd agreed to be in Jamaica for the Cuba match, a plane ticket was sent for him and he did not show up. No call, no explanation , nothing. Boyd has dug his own grave and must now lye in it.

Clovis was steaming....he told the interviewer no fe ask him notten more bout d eeidiat, im fe go ask the eeidiat himself. Me bex bad.... I ope this is the last we hear of BOYD pertaining 2 d BOYZ. my people i have always backed blacka pearl and i say without hesitation that blacka was definitely jamaicas best player throughout the 90s. but god know blacka real shame me now. unless blacka has been kidknapped or something of that nature i dont see him returning to this team. he has really hurt all the pearl supporters and god know he has wasted his impense talents. i really hope that wily bo, keemo dread and luton shelton do not follow his lead and take his lackadasical approach to the game. by the way it is no one here has noticed that pennant of arsenal has picked england over us.
Pearl was given tickets to camp. The tickets were used. Pearl did not show up. What could be wrong? I don't know. I, however, will hold judgements until I hear all sides of this story.
I thought it was unnecessary for the announcers to speculate as much as they did on the Boyd situation. I heard from one source that Boyd got last minute call and was in contract negotiations. I am not sure of the accuracy of this so I am not willing to field any questions regarding Boyd.
I notice though that many of us do not really respect the program, jamaica nor ourselves. Boyd maybe his worst enemy, but he clearly learnt a lot from us as jamaicans on a whole because we share the same traits.
Well i was always interested in the fervor with which Boyd's character is discussed by some of you ites, my little thought in the back of my mind is whether HE FEELS THE SAME WAY AS YOU?
Insight, If BOYD really said that it clearly show self-centered and sellfish he is. That attitude that HE is GOD on the field and sio great that he and he alone can JAM stadium will be his DEMISE. I guess that was his views when went to SWANSEA, He thought I"M DI DON, see how fast they saw his true PUNK _ass COLORS and kick him out. JA FOOTBALL history will recall BOYD and "DI BIGGEST WAS A GOD-GIVEN TALENT" a true punk who could not see beyond the tip of his NOSE.

Shatta_Cleve, after reading the article this morning I've been looking out for a post like this. Believe it or not I myself is a Blacka fan, after the Honduras game, I myself called for him. After his no show/disappearing act I said forget about him. The fact is the man agreed to come for the Cuba or U.S game, he took the ticket, flew to Jamaica, and GAWN BOUT HIM BUSINESS. No Shatta, DAT NUH MEK IT. There is a right and wrong way to go about things. As for Mr. Whitmore, him better have a reason not an excuse for this. I mean man an man can get ill. But if a bull**** him o come with at this criticial point..DASH WEH DAT.
- Yow man ah man. Whatever the reason Walter has for NO SHOW he should act more responsibly and professional.The sport is much bigger than he is, bigger than Diego Mar..... so Walter need not to bite the hand that feed him. I rest my case!!
The man said he would be in the island for the cuba match(Maybe he was in the bleachers with his Nannyville friends) not that he would be in the island to play in the match ..LOL
