MikeU. I have just one question for you! Do you want Jamaica to qualify for the world cup? Also if you are the same MikeU who post frequently on Jamaicans.com then I know the answer, cuz you are no friend of Jamaica.

You thought wrong .

Yes I'd like to see JA qualify, because the 1998 achievement may be seen as a farce if they fail to make it this time; being that people up to now still can't believe that JA made it to France; and their failure this time around would confirm many people's beliefs about that success.

MikeU, I think Clovis reacted the way he should as the coach for the Boyz, whether he expected Lowe's suspension or not.

But anyway time to move on to more positive vibes.

Jt, the U20 is in training. They reported to camp on Jan 31... I do hope the JFF is putting something permanent in place to deal with promotions. When the boyz qualify for WC 2002 the demand for jerseys etc will be in demand all over the world. We have to be ready to deal with that from this year. We have to be ready to market the Reggaeboyz name and make a lot more money than we did last time. Rene Simoes had talked about how this should have been done for WC98. Hopefully the missed opportunities from 98 won't repeat this time around. peace.

MikeU, you seem to be the one who have doubts about how we got to France 98. That is a different campaign from this and even if we dont qualify this time (your secret wish) it will in no way put a damper on what was achieved in 98, which is now on the history books and no revisionist (you) can erase.
in the history of the WC many teams make it in and out of the qualifying group and that in no way diminishes their accomplishment from the time they qualified.
if you dont have anything positive to say GET OFF THIS SITE!! its crab in the barrel people like you who try to keep the rest of us down.

Of course, everyone (including you or me) are entitled to his/her opinion.

Man I checked out that http://www.jamaicas.com website and now I see why Junglist said that MikeU is no friend of Jamaicans. MikeU it seems, takes pleasure in tormenting patriotic Jamaicans with his ultra conservative views. Mike I must give you credit, you don't seem to be rattled by all the barbs we throw at you. You know what your mission is and you stick to it no matter what. Were you in the military?
I don't mind arguring with someone like you but in the proper setting. I like a stimulating conversation but Mike I tell you what, this site is for people who are biased towards the Reggae Boyz.
So what I'm asking is that you stick to http://www.jamaicans.com because tha's right up your street. On that site you can express your views on politics and other social issues and it would be okay but on this site we don't need the aggravation. Why don't you just join the program in support of our Reggae Boyz so that we may celebrate the accomplishments and when the time comes, agonize over the downers.

Peace
