You can read more about Lowe's two match suspension at homeviewjamaica.com. He missed the El Salvador game which counted as one and he will also miss the game against Trinidad & Tobago on February 28. He will be available in March for the game against Mexico. Somehow i have a feeling that Jack had something to do with this. Why now are we recieving this news ? I feel that this was planned to keep Lowe out of the game against Trinidad because he drives fear into his opponents.
Jack Warner is a snake! Yuh see how him get Elcove (or wha'eva him name) suspension reduced from 5 match to 2 and push Nandi's from 1 to 2? Burrell needs to make the case that the offense is a 1 game suspension. I know we have the talent to overcome this but that's not the point! We need full strength. The US(i think) also manage to get a player's suspension reduced.
We haffi protest this!
Anyone have a video clip of the offense from the game? What did the ref recomend?
BDennis, back up man. what ship is sinking? Mark my word, the boyz will play with so much vigour next game that you won't believe it's them. Like another ite said a while back, we have too many WAGGONISTS. Back off!!!! Mike U ah did waan tell yuh something when yuh mek yuh post re Shorty's death but i did not think it was appropriate. You might think that you are an objective person but you have proved to me that you have no kind of street smarts or common sense. You can't be this naieve (sp). In the corporate world and in life these kind of political games are played everyday, to think that you could compare Elcock's offense to Lowe's is absurd. Elcock almost ended a players' career and Lowe made an attempted head butt that never really connected. I was one of the first ones to criticize Lowe but by God he did not deserve a two day suspension. Now, Elcock almost destroyed a player's knee and had his ban reduced and you don't think Jack Warner has something to do with it? Pleeeeeeeeeeeease!!!!!!!!!! I find it extremely difficult to believe that you are anything remotely related to being a JAMAICAN.
The only thing that was dropped was the three month domestic ban. And rightfully so. His domestic play has nothing to do with international football according to the appeal committee.
Lowe definitely deserve a two-match ban. Headbutting a player is a serious offense.
It didn't connect? Maybe you saw something different from the disciplinary committee.
I've been a big READER of this forum from ever since and i commend all the members especially the prominent ones who keeps this REGGAE BOYZ thing going with good vibes.
I've been to every national match at all levels after world cup 98 and i think this senior team is going to gi dem headache.
The only problem i have is with Tyrone Marshall who i think has become a shadow of himself (he played like the hollow man in the harbour view/arnett finals). In the Barbados match which Jamaica won 5 nil i thought he was the biggest foreign player to touch reggae boyz soil. He was fearless and vicious on the wing like Seedorf from Holland. In the Bulgaria match, he was the one who instigated the first real attack, but that was after the crowd got boisterous at him, mindless with the ball, then he made a top class run at goal.
Jamaica has always come good when the wingers play well because most times our midfield is inconsistent, that was the success case of the U-20s who to me could give the seniors a run for their money.
So if we come good on the flanks, with a fair referee, i don't see fuller and burton having any problems.
Mike is not Jamaian. I could go on a UK website and proclaim my British-ness.
THis guy reads facts and places on JA and masquerades as if he knows the plce. He probably also did deal wit a yard girl(funny because him tink dem ugly) and he is using her life story as his own.
He is NOT Jamaican. If he is trying hard not be one.
Mike, are you the mike who said his mom was Bajan and dad Jamaican? If so that would explain it. Did your father abandon you and your mom and so you take it out on all Jamaicans?
It is only a question. I just want to figure out how a man can hate is own with such passion and try and disguise this same hate as mere and pure objectivity.
Mikeu,i don't know where you get your info from. Elcock's three match ban for that terrible tackle on Bronco has been reduced to two,he will be returning for T&T game against MEXICO.From your comment i wonder if you are really a supporter of the REGGAE BOYZ. BOYZ FOREVER!!!!!!! LONG LIVE SHORTY!!!!!!!!

Dis morning I am mad Wed Jan 31 05:34:53 2001
It is impossible for FIFA to be so political.
FIFA banned LOWE for two game in an incident that he was provoked and bearly headbutted a player.
IF they were going to Ban Lowe for 2 games, why now? They had more than three months and said nothing. Elcock incident took place long after and he may have end a man's career who didn't provoke him.
This is a farce. I have always thought that FIFA decisions could have been appealed but they didn't give us the time of day because of the fear they would have to reverse the decision.
FIFA has stopped LOWE career because he could have been gone to PORT VALE at least 2 weeks ago. FIFA has hurt Reggae Boys preparation because if we knew we had a banned striker, we wouldn't have played most of our practise games using someone we couldn't use in a game.
The fact is Nandi destroyed Trinidad in a friendly game and JACK WARNER wanted him out. This goes to show why Jamaica have to do things alone because we thrive on fair competition but some people stab you in the back.
I hope Burrell them take this with a grain of salt because as Bob Marley say "We nuh have no friend inna high society" It doesn't matter anyway because they can't stop us and history will always show who made it to the world cup and the Reggae Boys will always be there. Our program is alive and well. Shorty is now our new inspiration and that all you need to do, inspire a Jamaican.
I think I have to agree with Portia and Jah B on this one (correct me if I'm wrong). You have to wonder bout MikeU and Affective. Maybe they come from the same household.
I will admit...I always noticed MikeU posts in the past because they always seemed to be critical. I thought at first it was just a big fan who wanted to see the boyz do better. I have come to realize that he is just...critical...Leave Us....

I would really like to know, why this is not subject to an appeal.Every incident in the game is always subject to appeal......why is it that we won't be able to appeal.Very, very strange.Anyway, that's life and we have to move on.The odds have been stocked against us from day one,but guest what,we shall overcome all odds, because the FATHER will always be with us no matter what.DEM A GO TIRED FI SEE WE FACE,SAY THEN CAN'T GET WE OUT A THE RACE......
Gentlemen gentlemen , please, I am still morning the loss of my Country man Shorty who we will all miss, as for Mike , i am nor sure what you are trying to say , either your trying to say this is a naormal ruling by FIFA or this is some kind of Punishment long overdue for Nandi on his on the field behavior or what , but the fact still remain an fight and a subsequent atempted headbut does not warranta 2 match ban , and even so why havent they mentioned a thing until now? also another thing to look at is we the Jamaicans are used to not getting a fair shake , we are used to ill treatment from the europeans , but most of all we are used to our own betraying us and leaving us for dead , remember Marcus Garvy was sold for rice..or so it was said !!!
Adversity is nothing new to us i dont care if they ban the whole 11 we will still WIN !! you see man dont control things GOD do .. no matter how it looks bleek there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, Whoever conspired to hurt Jamaican and no matter how meny mistakes we the Jamaicans make along the way , we shall never be conqured in spirit, the worst thing you could have done is come out against one of ours even when he is wrong , especially in a time like now , man wi a look fi sombady food fi naym so who ever in our way better be fore warned .. Gentlemen i say let MikeU have his say he is entitled to it however... dont come back and say your sorry when thigs look good later on down the road and BDennis i say to you my friend you should have learned by now that we the Jamaicans are a stubern people and will not go away quietly in the night , we will fight you , we will attack you , we will not be moved , we will win , just when you think you have us all figured out ,BAAAAAM you are hit with a surprise .. come-on look at our past , you think this is going to sink our ship ,( ha ha ha ha ha ha LOL ) i laugh at such idiotic ideas,i leave you with a quote from Luchiano..."EVEN THOUGH IAM BROKEN UP INSIDE ,I WILL NEVER GIVE UP MY PRIDE,EVEN THOUGH SOMETIMES MY BOAD CAPSISE I`LL NEVER GIVE UP THE FIGHT "" and thats the typical jamaican heart felt belief...peace... we will be even stronger now .. i promis you that!!!
