Obama/Biden 2012 - We need people who actually think in charge, though they should learn to lead!
Read the below article (which most of you probably know abuot already). Taken from teamtalk.com:
JFF fly in for World Cup compromise ^top
Officials from the Jamaica Football Federation will travel to England to seek assurances from clubs of players' availability for World Cup duty. The delegation are expected to fly out on Sunday - after Jamaica's friendly against Bulgaria - and reach a compromise with Premier League and Nationwide clubs' officials over the release of players for international games. JFF president Capt Horace Burrell said: "We have to get assurances from the clubs that players will be available for all World Cup games. "We must not force our players to choose between club and country. An agreement must be reached." Burrell will be accompanied by technical director Clovis de Oliveira and general secretary Horace Reid. Their arrival coincides with Derby manager Jim Smith's attack on the JFF for "abusing the fixture calendar". Smith is seething at the news that Darryl Powell and Deon Burton will miss the Rams' FA Cup tie at Blackburn and probably next week's Premiership game with Charlton. Jamaica have three World Cup qualifiers scheduled before the end of the season, starting with Trinidad and Tobago on February 28. They then face Mexico on March 25 and Honduras on April 25. Jamie Lawrence of Bradford, Ricardo Gardner of Bolton and Hull pair Ian Goodison and Theodore Whitmore are also included in the squad for Jamaica's friendly against Bolivia in Miami on Friday.
Now my question to JT et al is this, is this the right thing for the JFF to do? Do you agree/disagree that the JFF and Jamaica should have ALL our players for ALL world cup qualifying games and it is the right thing for them to go to ALL the clubs from now to make sure that will be the case?
A wah yu a tell mi seh Shaggy! :-) Yu Uncle is either a hypocrite or a shotta. Is your uncle so you can call him hypocrite, but mi will call him shotta still. Well the church part is not the main reason either Shaggy, but I would have to go with my brother (he would be driving) and my other friend but they really really wanted to go but for some reason wont be going (money or some other reason). My brother will be doing some modifications to his car tomorrow so he prefers to spend the money there ^_^. Well they will have enough support, that I know, but I am so sorry I wont be there. Hopefully next time round.
Yes Lepimi...I agree that the JFF should keep up communications with them all...as U know its hard and takes a lot of time to build a squad and in one breath some bastard can say something and mash up the program. And thats why until we can do better we must create dialogue and monologue..
I know we also needed them for the practice run but at the same time we cant cuss the man as he has a legitimate argument as well.
And if we are so active in vilifying and denouncing Jim then how come no one has helped or stood up for the past players and eligible ones that have lost thier right to play bcoz of the conflicts between club and country..Why has the JFF been active in lodging a louder appeal against this sort of coercion.
