mi haffi touch a piece a dis. we cannot hide from the truth. why was jesus depicted as a white man in the first place? it is a plot my brethren, sit down and think about, don't get emotional. We have to liberate ourselves from mental slavery and teach the youths, let them have pride and know where they are coming from. Teach them about successful black men give them someone to look up to. Back a yard we have black heroes to look up to, ( not just sports figures) the black americans didn't have it so easy, they had to put up with all these white guys as heroes, then comes DADDY MARCUS who opened their eyes. chinese have him chinese god, white man have him white god, why can't we have our black god ( if indeed he is from africa) the colour of jesus matters when you are enslaved. if he was depicted as black then the black people wouldn't feel inferior, but if he was depicted as white then........ you know the rest.
anyway this is a football forum, but we can't talk about the same thing everyday. it gets tired. until the next match we will do it all over again.
Have you ever seen a white couple have a jet black pickaney yet? No I have not. Have you ever seen a black couple with white picaney yet? Well I have...we call them dundus ( no disrespect). I make the point to say that the black man is the original man as shown by the footprints of Lucy that was discovered in Tanzania by Mary leaky (renowned Archaelogist). This footprint demonstrated bipedalism. Even though this is more of a evolution tentacle...no one is yet to convince me that Adam and Eve were not swinging from limb to limb. heheheheh Since we are the original man and all generation flows from us, and god made us in his own image and jesus is the son of the father...then brethren it clear...JESUS IS A BLACK MAN.

Yes, I think there were older human fossils than Lucy, but when I remember right it was in the same region where they found them. Some time ago I read that 90% of the Europeans descend from seven so called "first mothers". Don't ask me how the scientists got exactly that number, but whether or not they're right it's clear that Africa is the continent where mankind was born. "My two cents" about the " did Jesus exist " topic:
The only source that tells us about Jesus is the bible. In fact, there are a lot of things written in it that can't have happened, ( or are wrong ( I think there's a text in which Mose tells the sun that it shall stop spinning around the earth, but I'm not sure ) ) from the scientist's point of view ( in the old as well as in the new testament ). Now the people who don't believe that Jesus existed will tell you that the bible has lost its credibility. The believers will tell the opposite. Now I think it's quite possible that "an other" Jesus existed, a Jesus who cared about the people in the region and did good things for them, but couldn't make wine out of water, couldn't make the blind people see again etc. Through the years, the people who told each other the story of Jesus began exaggerating...That would be quite possible for me.
P.S: Discussing facts on the foundation of the bible is also difficult because there are thousands of different "editions" of it that vary in some parts ( not only through wrong translations ).
The colour of Jesus is important because of our history. We as black people consistently receive message that says that we are nothing and that blacks are not significant. If the person 1/3 of the worlds population worships is black, it refutes the negative arguments. Colour matters. We suffer because of colour. It does not change the day to day reality because not enough blacks beleive that they are so significant they look like God. Wheather, you beleive in a God or not, many do and so it will have some impact. But I am sure some disclamer will be added to water down or lighten the colour of Jesus to prevent a comple black identification from happening.
Yo at first i was not going to respond to this thred but i have to now , that i have seen some weired stuff on the orign and the facts about Jesus the Christ of Nazareth, or should i say more acurately JAHSHUAH THE CHRIST!. Now all the evedence that is known to man , there is no dispute that the crist of Nazareth existed and there is no dispute as to his Mieacles, Based on the Roman historians and the Writings of the Jews who were alive and well at the time , Also the Serians have Anicent text which talks about this Nazarene who had the powers to heal any kind of sickness and even accounted of him reasing people from the dead on more than one ocasion, even the Greeks who came to saught him out have Writings which states how mirecalus this man was and how he was not a typical Jew in that he never seem to be a part of their sect, based on his behavior, so More than one Nations and peoples wrote about the CHRIST so dont try to trevialize this issue please.... he was not Just a faith healer like meny would like to make him out to be , he is the real thing based on all the decumentations that have comeup about him , including the dead sea scrolls, talks about him in depth and how he was a very different Jew and how he healed anyone and everything he faced and it even have parts of it that recalls the multitude of people who saw him alive which is undisputable including Roman soldiers who knew him to be dead , and reported to their superiors to have seen him walking around ... dont get me started .. peace...
Wow, I never expected such a large response but I am impressed with the knowledge on this forum especially considering it is gear towards football discussions.
There were 500yrs between the old and the new testament(birth of christ). Jesus was a revolutionary who wanted equality for everyone regardless of race. He never really claim to be the king of the Jew or messiah but that title was bestow upon him. Now, he did say he was the son of god, and was definitely a leader with principles who wouldn't compromise. It is a documented fact he existed and the people who followed him was called christians a derogatory name use to describe them. This movement was considered a cult and christians were persecuted until the Romans popularize christianity by adopting it as their religion for political reasons. Paul in Corinthians was instrumental in bringing it to the main stream. Jesus was not white but black doubt it very much, Arab most likely. Anyone every wonder why the Focal point of the catholic church is in Rome when the romans are know to have killed and enslaved many christians?
Jesus was never a Arab at all the Arabs was calles Aserians in those times , Jesus was HEBREW which is the origenal name for the Jews, which came out of EJYPT so most of them are Black people to begin with, but they mostly have curley hair much like the Ethiopeans look , so any man who dont want to believe that can go away because the origenal HEBREW peoples who showed up in the promis land was dark skined people...not Pail skined ... the only reason we see them look so light now , is due to them being carried away to europ by the Romans for about another 3 hundread years so of course they will change , and actrually most of them who live in Israel now arnt Jews at all they are Europeans who wanted to escape the ugly face of war in Europe..peace...
It is plausible but when I looked at the demographics of the region I logically concluded Arab or mixed race. The analogy of a black Jesus could be compared to a white messiah coming out of Africa.
