REGGAE REVOLUTIONARY ANTHONY B, SUCCESSFULLY COLLABORATES WITH HITMAKER WYCLEF JEAN RELEASING FIRST BIG RECORD OF 2004. Revolutionary and Conscious Reggae Artist Anthony B is Set to Release His 11th Album on Jamaica Based, Togetherness Records. Miami, FL-January 20, 2003. On the heels of his critically acclaimed Street Knowledge album released in 2003, Anthony B. has returned in 2004 with a smash hit on his brand new label Togetherness Records. Anthony B's first release of the New Year "Lighter", is an edgy 'street anthem', with a stellar feature performance by international singer/musician Wyclef Jean.
Reminiscent of classic dancehall record "Ring The Alarm", "Lighter" is a sure shot instant classic that has the potential to crossover to commercial radio, helping catapult the reggae star into the ranks along with commercially accepted reggae artist like Beenie Man, Sean Paul and Elephant Man.
After ripping up tour dates throughout Europe, Jamaica and the US, it is no wonder why Anthony B has been around for so long. Reggae fans everywhere have been anxious for Anthony B. follow up to his successful 2003 release, "Street Knowledge". Following suit, Anthony B. has kicked of the year with a guaranteed listener's favorite. The reggae mainstay grabbed film and production powerhouse Gill Green to direct the video, which was shot in Miami. The video, which is for the remix of the song, allows viewers to witness the unmatched energy of Anthony B, alongside Wyclef and Hip-Hop sensation Bonecrusher, who makes a guest appearance on the remix.
About The Artist
Largely known for his razor sharp lyrics and entrancing performances, The conscious dread released his first CD in 1996. Since then, he has released another 10 CDs, over 500 Singles, and appears on over 100 other albums, propelling him to the frontlines of reggae music. Born Keith Blair, Anthony B is the living personification of Afrikan consciousness in Reggae. His single "Nah Vote Again" was a major factor in making the Jamaican elections in 1997 (noted as the most peaceful election since gun violence was introduced in West and Central Kingston in 1967.

This man has always impressed me but it was when he put his redition of Peter Tosh's "Equal Rights". That chune a gwaan wid tings fi real.
B really getting some where. I just hope he keeps his head clean and doesn't think that he has to start singing slackness to make some quick money.
