Last week on attempting to book in to the team Hotel (Sopwell House, St Albans) they were denied as the federation had not prepaid the bill like they were advised.
Some agent had to drive to the hotel and pay the £35000 bill on his personal credit card, meanwhile the team stayed on the coach.
So quite possibly there is some truth in our website story as opposed to Sky etc.
Reporter " Did they Jamaica(make ya)leave the hotel" Marlon "No I wanted to leave"

Let me clear up some misconceptions, first off the report about the hotel is not true, that story was fabricated for whatever reason. The hotel even offered an apology to the Jamaica Football Federation for what ever embarrassment the story might have caused even though it was no fault of their own that such rubbish came out.
On the topic of Marlon King, he is not eligible for England as he has represent Jamaica in World Cup qualifiers. The only reason he came to play for Jamaica is because his career was going nowhere and after he scored some important goals for Jamaica that is when Watford came in for him. Now that he is a big shot on a Premiership team, he probably think he doesn’t need Jamaica, well no one person is bigger than the game and from a Jamaican point of view, he can go f#(% himself.
As far as Watford fans are concerned this must be good news for you all as he will not be flying to all parts of the world to represent Jamaica. There is nothing to the story really, he broke curfew, was asked about it and told management to come *** some part of his anatomy, they told him to go home.

As far as using King as an example, I doubt it as the other two were allowed to stay, while King is far more important to us than Euell or Ryce. With regards to Deon ‘uncertain’ Burton as he is know amongst many Jamaican fans, he was voluntarily training with the squad already when they arrived in England even though he was not initially called. I think this is due to the fact that it was his goals that carried us to the World Cup in 98. This seems to be more of a sentimental decision than anything else, but I doubt he will get any playing time as there is a 19 year old youngster in the squad named Teafore Bennett who is showing a lot of promise and may surprise England with his pace and skill as well as Ricardo Fuller who use to play for Portsmouth in the Premiership.

Deal with what exactly? Why should Aidy deal with something that happens between a player and his national federation?
If you believe English newspapers, especially the Sun that broke the story, well I've got some magic beans to sell you. Running an apology is not in the best interest of the newspapers that print the story. I got my info from the hotel management. Just because there are no legal proceedings doesn’t mean anything, sometimes it is just not worth it.
As far as that mass brawl is concerned, when you are being attacked by little Mexicans left right and center you must defend yourself or risk serious injury or death. And as fans of British football, you should be the last to talk about brawls and hooliganism. ;-)

Jobr makes a valid point - it is highly unusual for a company to be wronged in the way the hotel and the JFA have in this instance and not to have taken any recourse against the media source concerned.
You might also wish to notice that the vast majority of people above are, for some unknown reason, wetting themselves at the very thought of some controversy involving Marlon King and declaring that he's well and truly gone off the rails this time.
