Thanks for everyone that supported the Jamaican captain, and voted. I was wondering if the FA would let him donate his prizes to the JFF.
RICARDO GARDNER has become the first Barclays Premiership player to be voted 'Player of the Round' and join this season's Team of The FA Cup.
The Jamaican full-back was one of five players nominated for the award after The FA Cup Fourth Round and polled 37 per cent of the 15,000 votes cast by fans on TheFA.com.
He was short-listed for the award after his dogged performance helped to send the holders Arsenal crashing out 1-0 and set up a Fifth Round home tie against West Ham.
With determined defending he was part of a solid Wanderers rearguard action that shut out Arsenal's brilliant attackers. He then supplied the looping cross for Stelios to head home the winning goal.
In addition to being crowned FA Cup Player of the Round, Ricardo's inclusion in The Team of The FA Cup guarantees his VIP attendance at The FA Cup final in May and a half-time introduction to the crowd.
In addition to winning the Player of the Round award, Ricardo has also won £1000 worth of UMBRO football kit for a local school, club or organisation of his choice.
The Team of The FA Cup comprises Player of the Round winners from the First Qualifying Round to the Semi Final.

BIG UP GARDNER. He continues to prove that he is the most valuable professional we have produced to date. Thanks to Rene Simoes that realized his potential and replaced Messam with him and also introduced him to Big Sam.
I got in a few votes myself, and got others to do the same. Gwaan Bibi! Ok, so now that's settled, who shall we vote in to succeed(curious choice of words, there...)P.J. Patterson?

John Barns is our most accomplished Jamaica born baller, Bibi is our most accomplished Jamaica born player that played for Jamaica. However, most accomplished does not mean best. We have had many great players, but most of them never got the opportunity to play on the world stage. Many on this site probably don't know many of our previous great ballers because of one reason or another.

Actually, I would love to see Bibi playing for one of the top Italian or Spanish clubs. Say...Inter Milan, Juventus or AC Milan - Barcelona, Real Madrid, etc. It's about time our Ballas explore these fronts. One in would open the doors for others. Gwaan Bibi!
