Dexter Blackstock is a dangerous striker,he's been a consistent striker for Nottingham Forest in the Championship and Leigertwood is the man that makes Reading tick he is a clever midfield player.
why is everyone so confident Jamaica will win against Antigua, when they struggled against Guyana??? What if Antigua was to tie usa and beat Jamaica then what would everyone say? To me Guatemala is Jamaicas easiest match.
Nice try GD, but what team was playing in the attack? mainly RSPL players besides Keamar & Shelton who are not regular starters. Plus, weren't we playing in their half and according to their coach they were defending for their lives most of the game?
We love having you here GD, with respect, but whey U a try?
The R'Boyz, we gwa stamp our quality all over the Benne bwoys in June; imparting a healthy dose of fear...Lol

lol here is the thing!! I support both teams equally...cause my mother is Jamaican and father Antiguan...but since my tight with ABFA I have to go for Antigua for this match!! End of the day Jamaica realistically has the best chance to qualify in his group. I strongly believe they will beat USA in Kingston this time around...shortly will book my ticket for Columbus, OH.
Antigua and Barbuda has beaten Jamaica only once, and that was in their first encounter in 1989, when they won 1-0. The lone goal was in the game was from a silly mix up in communication between defender Anthony Corbet and the goalkeeper. From that mix up, the ball bounced favourably to the Everton Gonzales (the present president of the Antigua Football Association), who slid the ball into an empty net. Still, from that initial encounter the Reggaeboyz drew admiration from the locals because of their skill level. Those were the times when people like Nandi Lowe, Alti Buttler, Messam, Paul young etc were running the Reggaeboyz. The only thing they failed to do in that match was put the ball into the net. I would expect the same dominance from the Jamaicans over the Antiguans, this time around, despite the local hype over their (Antigua) team. Having seen them playing, I wouldn't loose too much sleep over any encounter, to be honest, because they looked very ordinary to me. On the other hand, I have watched the Boyz in the regional competition final against Guadeloupe(?), and I was very disappointed with their performance. It is that kind of none performance from the Reggaeboyz plus the inclusion of the seven English based players along with the crowd behind the Antiguan team that has made me a bit more catious about this encounter. The question is which Reggaeboyz team will turn up. Will it be the one that contested that lackluster regional final or will it be the one that displayed the ball skill that left the local Antiguans in awe in 1989? I hope it will be the latter, but this time with goals to match the performance. Anyway Tappa has played against Antigua on a number of occasions, so he will know what to expect.

A 15 year old Nandi, 16 year old Messam, 21 year old Butler & Young. It could have happened, it most certainly didn't , but it was a possibility . Trying to help you here juniorH
Antigua just got out played by Haitian club and was lucky not to get beaten by this Haitian club in the recent club championship in Trinidad which ended in 0-0 tie...As you know that the club Barracura FC is actually Antigua national team....I saw the game with their newly added English players but was not impressed...With the newly added English players,I don't think they are a better team than the team that defeated Haiti...

There has been no game at all yet with the new English players.....you are making stuff up....seems like your still mad Haiti didnt leave the group lol. I hope you know the 7 players from england will be starting, then you have byers, tamarly thomas and the goalie...thats a totally new team and not baracuda fc.
That there is an amazing story of what leigertwood did..he scored the winning goal to get them in premier league
Leigertwood is not a creative/attacking midfielder, he is a much more defensive/holding player who breaks up attacks coming through the middle in a way similar to Rudi Austin.
The Jamaicans are very confident which you should be but don't underestimate Antigua. Are we go play hard and the English players are no push overs either..
Oops!. I seem to have made a blunder! Lowe, Messam and the others were the SECOND visit to Antigua! That match was a friendly. I rememberd Lowe came on as a secon half sub with bandage around his knee. Also I recall a fracas with Warren Barret and one of the Antiguan players. However, at the end of the game they embraced each other in a friendly manner. The third visit was for the regional championship (I forgot who were the sponsors then). That one had a skinny Whitmore in his prime, UB40s Simpson, Paul Hall, Deon Burton. There was another but, I can' seem to rremember the name. Yes, that first match did have Tatti Brown, come to think of it. I don't remember if Winston Anglin was in that line up, though. Tegat at the time was playing in Israel and so he was not involved. Anyway, in that match the Jamaican team then gave the local Antiguan "stars" a lesson in ball. Sorry for the mix up in dates. I feel embarassed! LOL.
