If this gets finalized, it is another good preparation match for the local based players.
If this is an official FIFA date...why just the 'local' players ?
Jamaica needs to get their backside in gear in getting the full WC squad together as soon as possible, getting their tactics and positions sorted out and see what kind of football this squad will produce come the qualifiers.
This 'local', 'foreign-based' player business needs to stop NOW....
One Jamaica squad wearing one colour jersey fighting on the football field for one nation...Jamaica...no country/football squad divided will ever be victorious or successful against united opposition.
This is an excellent preparation match for Jamaica that needs to be fully utilised.

Ric,
Me is the last man who want to see any divisions within the Reggaeboyz ranks, but since the match is not on a FIFA match date, I believe only the Red Stripe Premiere League players will be available. Hopefully a few MLS or English League coaches will cooperate but I seriously doubt it.

Sorry, boss...no offense intended.
My comments were made with the question of this being a FIFA date being a given...if it isn't then of course, this is a match to suss out the form of the local players who will be contending for a place in the final squad.

A group of players that should be considered for this match is our top NASL, USL and NCAA players based in Florida, who should be a spring break from University ahead of this match. They should have decent fitness from training with top MLS team during the MLS preseason. Some players are:
Lance Laing, Ft. Lauderdale Strikers Demar Stewart, Orlando City Keiron Bernard, Orlando City Brenton Griffiths, USF Ashani Fairclough, USF McKaully Tulloch, UCF
These guys can all compete with the top RSPL players for a spot and airfare should be cheap.

Notice I stated give them a look in training camp for this friendly match, which is not on a FIFA match date.
Definitely, college players will not get us the World Cup or featuring in top level WCQs. But a good college player is more than capable of handling Caribbean Cup level opponents. All the players mention above are all capable of starting in the RSPL right now and at least 2 of the 6 players will be playing MLS level football in 2013.
