Jamaica off to a very slow start, using 3-5-2 formation playing the ball around in the Jamaica half for the first five minutes. Jamaica getting into stride after 10 minutes and pressing forward 0-0 at 15 minutes Jamaica seeing most of the ball Jermaine Hue spreading the ball nicely on a few occasions Cuba's Estrada attacks on the right but the Jamaican defense breaks it up. Jamaica dominating Twenty minutes into the game ..Majority of the play is in midfield with Jamaica ahead on ball possession. It seems like Ryan Johnson is not jelling with this lineup. Been missing from action the entire game so far Powerful shot from Senior goes whizzing over the goal. Cuba answers with a long shot of their own No chemistry between the two forward Boyd and Johnson….Navian Byod gets slapped and is now down Jamaica 0 - Cuba 0 after 40 minutes 1 min extra time....0-0 half time boos in the stadium Second half changes: Edwards out Virgo in. Virgo immediately getting into the mix with some nice passes Attendance is about 8,000-10,000 at the National Stadium Bigga Thompson off Rohan Reid on . Good Attacking buildup from Jamaica as Johnson just misses the goal Rohan Reid picks up a yellow card after three minutes Hue to Senior, back to Hue who passes to Campbell who loses it Dino Williams on Boyd off Cuba substitutes: Gonzales off Fernandez on Jermaine Hue subbed to the disappointment of the crowd 0-0 sixty minutes into the game. Estrada of Cuba gets a yellow Joel Senior is earning his spot...Virgo taking charge of this game along with Dino Williams and Reid 0-0 after 80 mins of play 17 year old Jorginho James scores a spectacular goal..GOOOAAAALLL..Jamaica 1 Cuba 0 Is Jorghino James the new Jermaine Johnson? Crowd starting to leave as we are in extra time Game ends Jamaica 1- Cuba 0 Jamaica 6 shots on goal three on target , one goal , 7 corners, 11 fouls Cuba Seven shots 2, on target, 12 fouls the 29th.
Also love the #7 player off-the-ball movements, touches and assist on this play, three players coming at him...and he calmly played a nice give and go pass with James!
It was a lively encounter. Looking at the opposition I think having 10,000 in attendance is a descent turn out. Big up to JFF Marketing Department for pulling the strings here.
We just didnt have the cutting edge this evening. Giving 7 debutants a run this evening was a good move from Tappa and Jorghino James moved with a purpose.
Expect to see more of him come Friday.
My man of the match would be Joel Senior. Joel on and off the ball movement was good, he was focused, calm, composed and had an eye for goal.
Look out for him to be one of the few locals going to New Zealand
I think it was a fair result in the end, but it easily could have been 3-0.

Lets hope for Fireworks come Friday
J-yute U affi mek we know before hand, will U be on friday?
Playing against a mostly U23 Cuban side and our TOP locals could not run over them says alot. For those who think these yutes are ready for the top sides in ConCaCaf better think again.
Keamar Daley was the top player in JA and he could not secure a starting spot on the R'Boyz, should clearly show man and man that our team is on a different level.
MeK dem yute ya enjoy themselves in these local friendlies, but I would rather not see any of them in KIWI. Bring on the Brits from top flight EPL and Championship.
Bringing 3-4 of these local players to KIWI is another wasted opportunity to feature top players from abroad, and this could be the last friendly (although there's room for 1 more just before qualifiers) before qualifiers.
I don't understand why the JFF feel an obligation to feature local players for a FIFA match day when clearly these players are simply not ready for this level of competition. Absolute nuts......
I'm now quite skeptical we'll see much of any of our top players from abroad come qualifiers. This is turning into a joke ting again.

The local-based team still has much room for needed improvements.
