Agree with you Grinds, Thompson, Boyd, and Edwards should stay home and give Reid, Hue, and someone else a chance. Thompsonn and Boyd especially have gotten countless chances and have consistently failed to deliver against quality opposition.
This match count against our rankings and we fielding such a vast local outfit, what happen to the supposedly to 3-4 local players to go on this trip J-Yute? or, you don't know what is really going on?

AUCKLAND – Jamaica have called on a number of European professionals for Wednesday night’s ASB Summer International against the All Whites after sweeping Caribbean neighbours Cuba 2-0 with locally-based players in a pair of internationals this week.
Arriving in New Zealand on Monday, the Reggae Boyz squad will be headlined by all time top scorer Luton Shelton, who plays for Turkish club Karabükspor, and has scored his 31 international goals from 60 matches.
Goalkeeper Dwayne Miller flies in from Sweden while Keammar Daley, Claude Davis and Damian Stewart arrive from English clubs.
Major League Soccer supplies three players – Houston Dynamo pair Jermaine Taylor and Je’Vaughan Watson along with Omar Cummings from the Colorado Rapids.
After Jorginho James scored on debut in Thursday’s 1-0 win and earned himself a ticket to Auckland, Jamaica stepped up a gear with a comprehensive 3-0 win on Saturday.
Watson joined the squad in time for Saturday’s match and led the rout with his first international goal, while there was no room in the travelling squad for Mitchly Waul or Toronto FC’s Ryan Johnson despite their goals against Cuba. Marvin Elliott, a team mate of All Whites striker Chris Wood at Bristol City, was ruled out with injury last week.
The steam is coached by Theodore Whitmore, a member of Jamaica’s 1998 FIFA World Cup squad.

Cummings departs Hawaii for New Zealand Forward to join Jamaican team for friendly in Aukland next Wednesday February 25, 2012 German Sferra ColoradoRapids.com ColoradoRapids.com
Honolulu, Hawaii - It turned out that Hawaii was only the halfway point for Omar Cummings this week. The forward is set leaving the Rapids camp today to join the Jamaican National Team for a friendly next Wednesday at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand.
"It's been a while since I was with the Reggae Boyz," Cummings told ColoradoRapids.com Friday. "The Jamaican team has been playing a couple of games against Cuba in Jamaica, winning the first one with another one today. So I'm looking forward to getting back on the national team and getting back in that rhythm, and hopeful get some playing time."
Cummings has started all three preseason games for the Rapids against professional sides so far, including Thursday's match against Yokahama FC, which was his last with the club before the season opener on March 10.
"I'm not entirely happy with the performance," he said of the last match. "I didn't get a ton of opportunities as a forward, but we'll keep working on it. It was a close game and the field was narrow so we didn't have that much space. But with the opportunities that we got, we should have done better."
At first the team had hoped to have Cummings available for Saturday's match. However the challenge to cross the international date line west would add a day to his travel. In order to join the Jamaican team on time, Cummings will fly back to Los Angeles before connecting on a flight to New Zealand later Saturday. He will return to Colorado later next week.
The plane to LA carrying the majority of the ReggaeBoyz had an emergency landing in Texas. The situation will result in the majority of the team arriving in NZ hours before the game on Tuesday evening. Source...IrieFM running African program..02.26.2012...6 people from the delegation are in NZ presently...I think it is full time that the whole island of JahMekYah tune in to the ReggaeBoyz.com .....this forum has the ideas the expertise and the commitment to propel the reality of JahMekYah reaching Brazil 2014 and beyond. I respect all the ideas and reasonings put forward here and hope in the near future to add my own. Still I n I look forward to a good game come Wednesday with a momentum building victory......

I posted this about one week ago, these things a basic international travel planning from experienced world travelers. The JFF should learn by now.

Item #4 check...........
Jamatl, some people still do not get it. Some folks were asking why was it important for the JFF to schedule this game?.......aah bwoy. This is just a dry run folks. Could you imagine if this was the actual 4th place play offs between Jamaica and New Zealand?
I am not sure whose FRIEND is in charge of the Boyz "ITINERARY" but it must have been the same folks who scheduled the Boyz in Germany with a few hours to spare before their kick off with South Africa.
to be on the safe side for a destination like this why didnt they leave earlier...instead of playing that friendly on fri against cuba...they knew there is a strong possibility to miss a flight to new zealand! on top of that they need to adjust to the serious jetlag
