Oh ye of little faith...Burrell is back on Monday to run tings... I think...We all know that Jamaica's preparation will consist of some friendlies against El Salvador, Curacao, Trinidad, Saint Vincent, Grenada & maybe Haiti... to top it off, we will journey to Brazil for "10+ days" camp with some local RPL players because the overseas Clubs won't allow our real Top players to leave...While in Brazil, they'll get their arses kicked by some 2nd division clubs and or some reserve players for top clubs. They'll see it as a success and we on the board will then proceed to rave, rant and cry fowl play by JFF.... There you have it folks....that's how things will pan out... OH YE OF LITTLE FAITH
BTW we will qualify for the hex...

Hopefully, Montesso and Whitmore can arrange a camp in early/mid May in Brazil and arrange some quality scrimmages with top Brazilian club and hopefully the full Brazil national team before they tour the USA for their series of friendlies.

Looking at the dates, yes we have not played any matches since Oct. 2011 but we need to FOCUS on preparedness for the OFFICIAL matches in June and September 2012.
Planned are not, the JFF allowed all players to resolve/find clubs where they can get good 1st team action until May 2012. They should then select those who are on-form and healthy at that stage for the May training camp.
U.S. midfielder Jermaine Jones added to January camp roster by head coach Jurgen Klinsmann The Schalke midfielder will join up with the USA squad.
U.S. national team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has announced that Schalke midfielder Jermaine Jones has been added to his squad for January training camp ahead of friendlies with Venezuela and Panama.
"Obviously this is a very difficult moment for Jermaine. He regrets the incident and has apologized to the player, his coaches and his teammates. He respects the decision of the German Federation and accepts the punishment," said U.S. MNT head coach Jurgen Klinsmann.
"While an unfortunate situation, it provides me the opportunity to call him in and continue to get him integrated with our system as we prepare the team for qualifying this summer. I have spoken with the coach at Schalke and Jermaine, and we all agree this is what's best."
Currently serving an six-matche suspension with the German club, Jones, 30, will likely take part in both friendlies. He's made 14 appearances for the U.S. national team since 2010.

Klinsmann imparting "the music" during January camp US coach hoping his green squad understands pace of int'l game
PHOENIX – In order to play at the international level, you have to feel it. You have to understand the poetry, the music.
That's what Jurgen Klinsmann wants to instill in his players – most of whom have limited international experience, or none at all – during his first January camp in charge of the US national team.
But is it working?
"They're getting the music," Klinsmann told reporters after Wednesday morning's intraquad scrimmage at the Reach 11 Sports Complex in northern Phoenix. "They understand that the pace internationally is much faster. The demand is much faster in terms of the concentration, speed of play, speed of thought, speed of implementing certain things."To make sure the players get the music, they first have to be fit. Much of the camp so far, which shifts from Phoenix to Southern California on Friday, has been spent working on the players' fitness – three-a-days, weight-training sessions, sprinting exercises and the grueling periods developing fast-twitch muscles.Klinsmann said the rigorous work is essential to help the inexperienced players reach the level of fitness required at the international level, especially with the team's friendly games fast approaching – vs. Venezuela in Glendale, Ariz., on Jan. 21 and vs. Panama in Panama City on Jan. 25.
"For every week you don't train, you have to have two weeks of training to get back to equalize that," he said. "Now, if you have a player that didn't train for eight weeks like the MLS offseason, you basically have four months to get back on track. We've got to pump them through the process. This is reality. Now we have three weeks to prepare the players for an international game."
The national team has been playing intrasquad scrimmages since last weekend but the first real test won't come until it plays against the US Under-23 team on Friday and next Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
"We'll see a little bit where we are, but it is a tight race toward an international game," Klinsmann said.
So far, though, the German legend has been pleased with the current crop at camp.
"They're greedy for the next step," Klinsmann said. "They're hungry. They want to know, ‘OK where is my next level here?’ So we push the envelope. We push the speed. We push them physically. We push them mentally. They need to see the barriers in front of them so they are able to jump over it one day."
Bunbury back
Teal Bunbury was back on the field for Wednesday's scrimmage and played without a hint of pain. The Sporting Kansas City striker had suffered a minor injury to his right ankle in an intrasquad scrimmage on Monday.

If that was a member of our Reggaeboyz team, he would've been banned by the JFF, or corporate sponsors would be threatening and/or calling for his head.

When this is all said and done the Reggaeboyz coaching staff should know EVERYTHING there is to know about the USA. No excuses will be accepted!!!! If anything, Jamaica should be the "UNKNOWN" quantity in this group.
USSF in preliminary discussions over August friendly with Mexico in Azteca Klinsmann let slip that the USA may face Mexico in an August friendly, but the USSF quickly pointed out that discussions are still ongoing.
Jan 14, 2012 1:34:00 AM By Zac Lee Rigg The United States could face the Mexican national team in Azteca on Aug. 12, though the two federations are still in discussions over the potential match.
Following a scrimmage against the U.S. U23 side, which the full national team won 4-0, U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsman fielded a question about the upcoming calendar year and accidentally included a potential friendly against El Tri in his answer. However, USSF spokesman Neil Buethe quickly pointed out that details for that match, still several months away, are far from finalized.
"[Klinsmann] may have – for lack of a better word – slipped a little bit in terms of what he mentioned there," Buethe told Goal.com. "It's probably fair enough to say there have been discussions in the past about a game against Mexico but we have no contract signed and there's no confirmation of that game happening."
Klinsmann's first game in charge of the USA came against Mexico on Aug. 10, 2011. A late Robbie Rogers goal salvaged a 1-1 draw in Philadelphia.
The United States has never beaten El Tri on Mexican soil, and Azteca, with its capacity of 104,000, has come to epitomize that home dominance.
Buethe indicated that the USSF is in the middle of a process of whittling down a list of 10-15 possible opponents for Aug. 12, which is the Saturday before FIFA's official international date of Aug. 15 and one day following the Olympics final for men's soccer.
Even if the proposed Mexico friendly doesn't pan out, the USA will still use the slot for a friendly.
"We'll definitely play a game on the 12th," Buethe said. "The question is just who we are playing and where we're playing."

The Scottish Football Association are in discussions over an away friendly against the United States of America in May.
STV understands talks have taken place over the possibility of Craig Levein’s side travelling to take on Jurgen Klinsmann’s team, which would take place on a date between May 27 and 29.
Plans have not yet been finalised between the two nations. Talks have also taken place between the Scottish FA and a number of European national associations over a fixture, with an announcement expected later this week.
Scotland last faced USA in a Hampden friendly back in 2005, with Andy Webster and Josh Wolff scoring in a 1-1 draw.
The national side’s last trip to the States came before World Cup 1998, with the two sides playing out a 0-0 draw in Washington.
USA have won two out of three of the other encounters between the two nations, with Scotland’s only win coming in a 6-0 victory in 1952

It's not quite the War of 1812, but two hundred years after Canadians defended their lines against American soldiers, they'll get a chance to do it once again - this time on the soccer pitch. CBCSports.ca has learned from CONCACAF and U.S. soccer sources that the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA), as a part of their centenary celebrations, has arranged to play the U.S. men's national team on Canadian soil ahead of the World Cup qualifiers in June.
It's not quite the War of 1812, but two hundred years after Canadians defended their lines against American soldiers, they'll get a chance to do it once again - this time on the soccer pitch.
CBCSports.ca has learned from CONCACAF and U.S. soccer sources that the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA), as a part of their centenary celebrations, has arranged for the men's national team to play the United States on Canadian soil ahead of the World Cup qualifiers in June. The official date and location will be announced Thursday in Toronto when the CSA launches a new jersey to mark the centennial occasion and confirms the host cities for men's and women's games this year.
For a soccer federation that would struggle to find much to hang its hat on from the last 100 years, this is a refreshingly well thought out decision.
Less than a year ago, Umbro Canada, an official sponsor of Canadian soccer, let it slip that the CSA was seeking out a pair of big-name friendlies to play in Canada as part of the centennial celebrations. England and France were the targets.
You can understand their thinking. Bring in the two founding nations - both guaranteed draws at the gate and hype in the media - to play high profile games that would be as rich on symbolism as they are on profit.
Problem is both England and France command hefty appearance fees, so to ensure a profit you would end up playing the games at Rogers Centre and Olympic Stadium and marketing them to the ex-patriots to ensure a sellout.
Home crowd for the home team
Nothing says celebrating Canadian soccer like the roar of 40,000 English soccer fans dwarfing that of the 10,000 Canadian fans in attendance, eh? It was a nice idea, but not one that would fit the goals of the modern game here.
Canadian soccer still struggles to ensure home crowds for its home teams - something that is considered crucial for countries trying to qualify for a World Cup. It's a testament to, and a detriment of, living in a multicultural community. Even the smallest of nations will draw hordes of fans to come cheer on their homeland, even against their current home.
Most Canadian soccer fans still remember a fateful September night in 2008, when 5,000 Honduran fans took over Saputo Stadium in Montreal during the 2010 World Cup qualification and lifted their team to a 2-1 defeat of the Canadians. Amid stories of bags of piss thrown, security abuses and corporate sponsors handing out Honduran-coloured thundersticks, it was widely declared a low point for the Canadian program.
Out of that though has grown awareness about the need to ensure home support for the Canadian team. It's what led to the decision to play all of opening round World Cup qualifiers in Toronto. And it's, ultimately, why the U.S. - who traditionally doesn't have a large contingent of travelling support - is the perfect choice as a send off to the next round of World Cup qualifying, which begins in June.
Canada's first, albeit unofficial, international game was against the U.S. in 1885. Canada won 1-0 over the Yanks in Newark, N.J., but the Americans of 1885 are far from the Americans of today. In fact, where the Canadian program has stagnated in the last 20 years, the American program has thrived, qualifying for successive World Cups, creating several international-calibre players and reaching as high as No. 4 in the FIFA World rankings. Canada is currently ranked 74.
It's a big gap and not likely one that will be closed any time soon. But for the CSA, and Canadian soccer, the U.S. team they face in June should be the benchmark from which they measure themselves over the next 100 years.
