As for fan support there were only about five of us looking on.

Put him in the midfield against Colombia and let him show the Boyz how to play \:\)

When Tappa first took over the squad, he played on one of the training teams and the man made a complete mockery of Khari and a few others.

Colombia has confirmed Falcao Gracia, Hugo Rodallega and Adrian Ramos in their lineup. If we do not come 100%+ in the backline, we will get exposed, badly, these are world class strikers.

Man pon paper a nuh man! \:D

Put them under extreme pressure and we will either end up with diamonds in the rough or a lump of charcoal.......but we will get a positive or a negative result.......That is what friendlies are for.... ;\)

Am I the only one who think there's a plot against Tappa to remove him from his post as a coach..? "the man a get basket fi carry water people!!"

Seriously now, how in heaven can we expect any better result from this same set of players on the current roster, that we have been saying won't take us to Brazil 2014..? now somebody please tell me why are we expecting any better result than a good "bus-arsed" from quality opponents such as the Colombians and others? Really!?!, to think of any result that's going to be any different from the China or the Ecuador game is just pure, insanity!!

I've said this before and I'm going to say it again..."Tappa I'm hoping you are not following too much leads from your assistant...." your record haven't been looking too good since their arrival!!!" Trust in your ability, but if you believe, and know seh the job is way over your capability, to expand the team to its highest potential as a contender, should the program infuse our top class ballers, in the likes of a Sturridge, Pennant, Pratley et al. then by all means, please remove yourself now from the program for the betterment of the Nation.

Anyway, from my observations I believe that what the organizer(s) of these recent friendlies have done is...they pick very good teams with low ranking against there name, with one goal in mind and that is to expose Tappa, and to set him up against the general public to look bad, in thinking that Tappa is constantly loosing games against teams that are rank lower than us, so they could make their move to fire him for lack of good results...but not so fast....the public can see the plot and will not call for Tappa head, at least not now, you (bunch of snakes). I know some has falling for the plot...but remember guys, ranking don't mean a damn thing to speak true volume of the quality in any team. Let's look at say a Spain, Holland, Brazil or any of the top thirty teams in the current Fifa ranking, and should any of these teams become inactive and not play any international ball for over a good period of time, they too will more than likely, drop points and go down in their ranks also, now, does that mean the team isn't any good? of course not...NO! not at all...

The bottom line argument to what I'm trying to say here is that, Tappa should not be release of his duty now, based just solely on the national teams' recent results. So, even if we loose the game tomorrow against Colombia, and although this result would make his loosing record in recent friendlies, against countries that are ranked lower than us to look bad. Remember, we are playing against good football Nations, with us using a very weak, crappy side. So, yes! it would make him look bad, but still yet, it would not be a good way to assess his capability in coaching and leading the Boyz against top quality teams, because he didn't have a strong squad to his disposal to compete well and effectively or to play our highest quality of football against these teams....so in all fairness to him, we shouldn't move too fast to call for him to be release of his duty, if we should loose the game against the Colombians come tomorrow. Because, not until we see how he stock up against top quality teams, when using our best top class players available, we really wouldn't be able to tell how far he could go with the team. So, although his result will look bad now, remember that this is a plot for other people (JFF) to not look bad, if he's release from his position as a coach now. Instead, it would look like they (JFF) were left with no other choice but to adhere to the cry of the fans. And then it would seems like it was we the people, who force the hands of the JFF to fire him...They can't fool iNi so easily. So let's pay attention here.

The Jamaica squad NEED top players Now, in order to compete effectively!!!

Anyway, we must commend the Captain for putting the team to work, by organizing some good matches recently, but in the same breath, we MUST also continue to put him on blast for not approaching, calling-up and recruiting our top class professionals that are available to the program. "Wi naa tap seh suh...wi waa gud ballas inna the team!!"
.

"We are training 4-4-2- now because we have been thinking about that. In the second half of the Ecuador game, we drew 2-2 playing 4-4-2. The team adjust much better especially in midfield, and after talking with Theodore (Whitmore), our mind is set to move the team to have move composure and numbers in midfield," revealed Montesso.

"If we lose the midfield like we lost against USA and Ecuador in the first half, obviously we will be dominated by the other teams," added the Brazilian.

Lovell Palmer of US Major League outfit, Portland Timber, joined the squad on Sunday night, while Jason Morrison of Norwegian club Aalesund arrived yesterday, and with only one training session with the team, will start on the bench.

Houston Dynamo's defender, Jermaine Taylor, who arrived Sunday evening, will partner captain Shavar Thomas in the heart of the defence following a poor defensive display against Ecuador last Friday.

Demar Phillips and Xavean Virgo will be the wingbacks, while Stevens and Dane Richards of New York Red Bull will be the flank midfielders.

Rudolph Austin and Damion Williams are the holding midfielders, while Omar Cummings and Ryan Johnson should have a big impact on the outcome and fortune of the Jamaican team.

Colombian test - Boyz seek redemption in Florida friendly
HOWARD WALKER with the REGGAE BOYZ IN FLORIDA

Tuesday, September 06, 2011

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida — Arnett Gardens' player Errol Stevens will make his international debut as Jamaica will try to end a three-match losing streak when they tackle Colombia in an international friendly at the Lockhart Stadium here starting at 8:00 pm (7:00 pm Jamaican time).
Steven, 25, who was drafted into the team a few days ago, will start at left midfield following his second training session with the Reggae Boyz at the Holiday Inn field yesterday.

The Reggae Boyz, who are coming off 0-1 and 2-5 friendly defeats to China and Ecuador respectively in adverse conditions and a 0-2 Gold Cup loss to the United States of America (USA), will try to halt the slide with a positive result.
Following two lively training sessions, they should give a good account of themselves in more familiar and suitable atmosphere.
Jamaica defeated Colombia 1-0 in the National Stadium the last time both countries met with Ricardo Gardner getting the winner.
That game is also remembered for a bust-up involving both countries' midfield maestros in Colombia's Carlos Valderama and the late Peter Cargill of Jamaica.
Jamaica's Brazilian assistant coach, Alfredo Montesso, is expecting a turn a round of the poor performance against Ecuador.
"I expect of course a much better game than the one we played in Ecuador. We expect some more vibes and quality in passing because we didn't show the same quality that we showed in the Gold Cup," Montesso noted.
"It is very important we get back in the track to win again. We know that Colombia just beat Honduras 2-0 and our team have to step up. The last three games we lose, is not good," he added.
Colombia, who last won the Copa America in 2001 and currently ranked 35 in the world, are boosted by their win over Honduras on Saturday and should be a very good test for the Reggae Boyz.
In early August, head coach Hernan Gomez resigned after admitting to hitting a woman in a night club and was replaced by caretaker coach Leonel Alvarez.
Captain Mario Yepes of AC Milan will lead a backline including Luis Perea of Athletico Madrid, Christian Zapata of Villarreal and Camillo Zuniga of Napoli.
But it is their attacking players who will drive most fear into the hearts of the Jamaicans as they have in their ranks strikers Hugo Rodallega of Wigan, Radamel Falcoa Garcia of Athletico Madrid and midfielder Juan Cuardrado of Leece.
Said Montesso: "Colombia like Ecuador is a South American team that plays a lot of ball possession and have very skilful players... Colombia is a team that has exposed a lot of players around so we have to be very careful."
Montesso believes the Colombians will employ the 4-4-2 formation.
On the topic of formation, Jamaica will be changing to the more accustomed 4-4-2 from the 3-4-2-1 against Ecuador.

So we all ready to see the professional players of Colombia teach our above average pro's and amateurs a lesson. Well I hope it is nothing like in Ecuador when it seems like JA was playing but wanted to save their energy for later. There was no movement off the ball, no marking and tons of ball watching. I would think now that we are playing on lower grounds we will run a little harder and mark somebody.

I do not think for a minute there is conspiracy to get rid of Tappa hence the poor results. I think Tappa and his boss is trying to build an all-Jamaican born team hence why they are giving the amateurs a game. The fact is our current English base players are an aging bunch so the need to look at the new players is a must. As I stated before I think Tappa is in some form of Digicel cup trance to think that the current team can go to Brazil unless they are going to Traffic academy to train.
Although the squad as some quality players the team is not very competitive outside of the Caribbean and Central America and we saw that agaisnt Venezuala, China, Ecuador and US teams that are not world beaters.
That tells me our pool of players are not very good and it is up to the TD, Tappa and assistants to state this clearly to the technical folks at the JFF. Do we need to go on a losing streak and then people lose their jobs to realise this?

I am hoping like everyone else after the Colombia game that the JFF will take WC Brazil more seriously and assess the team and make the basic steps to upgrade the squad with the best talents out there. It will be no mystery to the fans if we fail once more because we simple did NOT build a team that is capable of qualify. At that point our technical folks should leave football alone.

I wish the boyz well tonight and I hope the JFF is ready to take our game to another level because right now we are still in the Digicel zone.

Because this squad is a digicel Carribean cup squad!! Not a world cup qualifier Team!!! I just pray this is not the team for the qualifiers cause to tell u the truth that God loves we wont make it...... Everyone is improving with british players and other players from top leagues but we are still in DPL experimenting.... LAME JFF......

I will say it first Tappa is in over is head when it comes to tactical awareness coaching agaisnt top teams. He seems to be learning on the job. I am hoping by qualifier he will have it figured out and he will have some better players to work with that can mask his deficiencies.

Although another defeat probably would further enforce our point to the JFF that this squad is not good enough for top flight ConCaCaf football, another defeat would definitely smash our rankings down to the sixties, which is still above the seventies. Still within transfer minimum.

Win or lose, come next friendly and even till december if no UK 'ites are invited then we all know we are wasting our time, and I have other things to do with my time.

I'll be at the game today, I expect them tp play their hearts out and hold thier own against COLUMBIA, further tricking the JFF & TAPPA that all they need are a "few more pieces to the puzzle."

This game may serve as a paradym toward a great future, or a continual slip into Caribbean football mediocrity.

TAPPA, After seeing this same squad for the umpteen time now I'm wondering what his expectations are for this match. Players he already know; as one 'ite said "ca draw blood out of stone."

Now we will see what the Brazilians are brining to the table. So far they have not seemed to help Tappa and some man say that they are part of Tappa's problem. If we loose to Colombia I say we send them home and bring back Bradley as Tappa's assistant
