Aalesund - Brann today in Norway saw Phillips and Morrison starting against Austin who started for Brann. Aalesund won 2-0 with Rudi getting two yellow cards and getting sent off. Tremaine Stewart was an unused sub.

As I've said before, Morrison times his tackles better. And he's a better distributor of the ball. Don't understand why Austin got the nod this time. Unless Tappa feels that our midfield isn't physical enough.
Blah.....can't figure that one out. Hoping Rohan Reid gets the start ahead of "Rudolph the red card reindeer". Lol.
Marvin Elliot is injured is he not? So we can forget him (like Bibi) for the immediate future. Possibly Darren Pratley later down in the qualifiers.

Mrexperience you would start a raw and inexperience player in Reid over an experience one, Austin, playing at a higher level? the player of the year in Norway's top division? and you call urself Mrexperience, U need fi live up to ur name....Lol. Give the man some credit I-ya.

Since U neva state what match to give Reid the nod over I'll assume ur talking bout the two friendlies with PAN. Sorry, but no more experimenting with only two friendlies before the real think.

I'm speaking in general now; the knock on Austin is funny especially with Ric's onslaught, but it's not funny anymore. Man and man angst against Austin sometimes is really unfounded and at times ridiculous, and that ridiculousness was what's funny. Now some man a tek dis ting serious, not separating joke from reality.

The man is playing for a team arguably could stand toe to toe in the MLS and he won footballer of the year in Norway, and in the Caribbean Cup player of the tournament. And here we are and most of you saying he's an absolute rux. So the league he plays in is worst than RSPL, and all these officials in Norway watching Austin day in day out don't anything about football. Worst making him footballer of the year, with English EPL clubs in the bottom half seeking his service.

And on top of that all these Caribbean officials last year watching ail these matches and giving Austin player of the DCC tournament instead of Stephen Aubrey of the Guada Boyz must have being drinking before each match.

We all agree that Austin was playing out of position as a holding/creative midfielder instead of defensive one, that wasn't his fault it was a coaching decision. The disrespect of Austin is not warranted at all. You all making it appear as if he's the one responsible for loses we've experience against the USA and friendlies following the GCC tourney.

We all saw in the GCC when TAPPA had to start Damian Williams and some of the other bench players because of yellows incurred by the regulars in the game against, I think GUATE. We saw how the team had a fresh movement and rhythm to it in the passing and ball movement. And many of us had hoped to have seem that same team against HON, But Tappa went with the usual starters and the team didn't looked as fluid even though we beat HON 2 zip. Now, where is Damian Williams today, he's not even in any friendly much less making the team for qualifiers.

My argument is consistency. Rudi has being consistent even though he's one of the most vilified R'Boyz player of all time. And all he kept doing his working hard and winning accolades among his peers. Give the man some respect.

I believe when we have a sound, and quality ball possession creative midfielder then Rudi won't see the need fi try playing both positions in midfield. That's being our main problem not Rudi.

Rudi shouldn't be blame for our woes in the middle. The Jff have failed time after time to really assessed their needs and go after a true ball possession/creative midfielder. There's Nathan Dyer -though he plays wide often, Lewis McGugan and I think Gareth Mcleary fit the bill as ball possession players. Not to mention Daniel Johnson -though quite young and bit physically slight, and Raheem Stirling.

I'm not to familiar with Mcleary, just going by what others said of him; probably Ric and the UK massive can shed some more light on this yute for us. I've seen McGugan a couple of times and that's his normal position, and he has a good touch and cleverness on the ball.

All and all TAppa need to convert someone for that ball possession/creative role and he shouldn't look no further than Phillips. We have more than enough wide players to replace Phillips on the left side.

I know Phillips give us that goal scoring edge out left but for the sake of the overall balance of the team, spreading our strength around instead of concentrating the heart of our strength on the flanks will give us more depth in our attack. And our middle won't look vulnerable anymore with Phillips controlling our middle and Rudi in support, and Fuller in front as the attacking midfielder.

We have Omar, Dane, Humphrey's, Shelton, more than enough power there for the flanks. and if you should add Phillips to that list of flank players then that would be the heart of our attack besides the forwards of which play mainly one at a time.

With those five players all that's left for the middle is Rudi, Jason (who's not in team now) Watson, Keamar. Keamar & Watson have not distinguish themselves yet as starters in tough matches. So you all see that we're strong out wide and weak in the middle, and that's being our major problem, not our defense has some has make it out to be. The USA GCC match exposed the weakness in our middle. Phillips would bring that edge and depthed to our middle.

Whey di I dem tink, lots to consider here...

One likkle correction HI. Rudi was the POY for his TEAM, not the whole league.........and it was for last season (2011). I agree that the harsh criticism is unwarranted, but he could have had a better performance against Michael Bradley and company in the GC last year. Rudi is best playing in front of the back four and is a very good asset on set pieces.
