I warned you guys long, long time ago.....Tappa has a very long memory and he keeps grudges. You do not lock the NATIONAL HEAD COACH out of a match and expect things to go smoothly. Tappa showed up with a bus full of people and the vehicle was denied entry.......Tappa had to pay for his people. Rene Simoes, Gamma or even Bora could have shown up with the Long Island Rail Road train full.....and the powers that be would "Fly" the gate!! Gwaan mess wid Tappa....... \:D

Sign with Reno and yuh career dun!!

Reno forces 'Tappa' to pay entry fee

Whitmore

Western Bureau:

Theodore 'Tappa' Whitmore, the interim head coach of Jamaica's senior Reggae Boyz, is hopping mad at the management of Reno FC, who reportedly charged him an entry fee to watch Sunday's Cash Plus Premier League fixture between Reno and St. Georges at St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) on Sunday.

"When I got to the gate, I was told that I had to pay," said Whitmore, who is currently preparing the national team for upcoming friendly matches against El Salvador and Guatemala. "So, as to avoid the embarrassment, I went into my pocket and paid the entry fee."

Came with other persons

Responding to the claim, Patrick Malcolm, president of Reno FC, said: "He (Whitmore) came in a van with eight persons and we decided to offer him and three of the persons free entry and charge the others," said Malcolm. "Some of those who were asked to pay became boisterous and after much arguing, Mr. Whitmore took it upon himself to pay for everybody. We would never charge 'Tappa'," continued Malcolm. "If anything, we were most embarrassed by the behaviour of those around him and the stance he took."

St. James FA President Orville Powell, the head honcho at Seba United, where Whitmore is head coach, said: "He (Tappa) should not have had to be digging into his pocket at the gate, the situation should have been handled better," said Powell. "'Tappa' did not want to travel to the game alone so I knew a few persons went with him, but definitely not eight persons."

Foster's under 20 performance probably still fresh in their mind.

In all honesty, all these players look good in the NPL but when the pressure is one them to produce in big game situations they have failed miserably.

However, as former national team coach stated "the national team jersey can be VERY heavy."

If the Reno players can to improve at the club level both home and abroad, they will be able to handle the pressure better.

The performance of Foster at the U20s left much to be desired for a striker. And now that the U23s are eliminated, he will need to wait a while for redemption.

Craig Foster strikes deal in Sweden
Craig strikes a deal that will keep him tied for the next 18 months.

He shall first be with his club for 3 months and then after a 3 months break return for 1 year.

Noticed that Craig Foster has returned from Sweden to join Reno ahead of the RSPL 3rd round.

Last year's league MVP and top goalscorer returning should be in the news.
