Some ites see this football ting tru sentimental eyes; ball man see it reality because ball is reality.
Bibi Gardner has graced the Premiership for more than 10 years now, the toughest league in the football world, a record that nough bigga name balla would be proud to hold.
Come in like some ites interpret man an man (including his manager at Bolton, Coyle) assessment of his capabilities now as a 'squad player' as disrespect; nothing could be further from the truth.
Bibi can play bout 60 minutes now of what he used to offer for 90 minutes or more in his prime and that is the reality.
Sentiment don't come into picking a side on match day in the BPL; performance over 90 mins is all that counts for the man picking the side.
Bibi is in Bolton's playing squad for the endurance of his contract, his testimonial season was last season but he chose to defer its celebration until next summer (2011).
Many ites weh a run up dem big 10 bout this an dat don't know bounce about how football is played in England past weh dem see pon the TV.
Dem don't know that when Bolton celebrates Bibi's testimonial and might not renew his contract but still giving him his chance to play and impress the current manager this season, they will be paying Ricardo 'Bibi' Gardner the greatest respect that any player will have earned in English football and respect that nough players of bigger reputations would wish they could have earned over a playing career in England.
Bibi's legs have gone for playing 90 mins in the BPL but he will get his chance to walk away from a superb career with his head held high.
That is the greatest respect any club or manager will ever pay to any player playing in the BPL.

Translation: Don't expect to play much if at all this season because you are either not good enough or don't fit into my plans.
His agent need to start working on a other team contract.Make some calls. Then again if hes getting the same pay to play in practice as he would to play in game o well.

Game ends 2-2 good fighting spirit by Bolton despite being a man down. If Bibi still has the desire to play and a competitive spirit he will seek a move else where as his bolton days are numbered. His contract does not look like it will be renewed, then again i'd prob sit and relax if I knew i was getting around 40k just to sit in the stands and not have to work. He can't really complain, like i said before he gets paid well enough.
On another note some man must learn to read properly and stop talk trash, if you wish to have a cass cass argument your better off finding your drunk mother or something. Not interested in such a trifling matter.
lol... is this debate more about our desire to see bibi playing or bibi's desire to play.
Even Fuller may have to accept the harsh realities of the EPL soon. Fuller has played a big part in making Stoke stay up but it never stopped Stoke from getting other strikers this season and giving them more madia attention than fuller.
I am sure at a testimonial you get media coverage plus a big share of the gate receipts.. Plus bibi is still gettin paid nuh matter which side of the bench he sits.
With the new rules is Bibi even a part of the 25 man strong squad of bolton??
Bibi and Fuller will be fine.
Maybe we must spend more time talking about Burrell and Jamaica and the Jamaican players available instead of Coyle and Bolton.

good sign indeed ,he played in a league cup last week and is looking good as ever . Bibi staying and playing at bolton his whole career is rare , going on 13 years .

put me on your buddy list I will be more than happy to do the same .
More than likely, Bibi will not be offered a new contract when his current deal runs out; I don't know when that is.
He will probably be allowed to leave Bolton on a free transfer so that he can arrange another deal with another club, in England or elsewhere, without the burden of a transfer fee to contend with.
I doubt he has more than another year on his cuurrent contract so at 32 -33 yoa with a full testimonial in which he gets to keep almost 100% of the profits and a 'free paper' to walk with, Bolton will have paid massive respect to a true legend in their club history.
You can put him in the same category as Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes in that respect, one club men all their careers who will have earned their testimonials as well.
Name: Ricardo Gardner Nationality: Jamaican Date of Birth: 25/09/1978 Height: 5' 9" (175cm) Weight: 11st 0lbs (69.92kg) Position: Midfielder
In his 12th year at the Reebok, the fans' favourite contributed in both central midfield and on the left-wing as Wanderers successfully completed their ninth season in the Barclays Premier League.
The Jamaica captain battled with a hamstring injury which limited his amount of appearances after the turn of the year. His only goal of the season came in the 2-2 draw at home to Tottenham in October.
'Bibi' joined the club in the summer of 1998, arriving from Harbour View in a £1m deal, and has since become one of the most loyal servants in the club's history.
Gardner now has more than 380 games under his belt and looks certain to clock up quite a few more; being contracted to the club to the summer of 2011.
He said: "I've enjoyed every moment and I'm looking forward to playing here for the years that I've signed for. The fans have been great to me and helped me settle in when I first came to the club so I have absolutely no complaints. It's always been my dream to play here for so long, although each year I try and set myself a different target and move towards it."
This is from Bolton's web site.
His contract runs until next year summer and he clearly does not expect to be offered another one by Bolton but what a career he's had !
If you notice, I didn't refer to Bibi as a 'one-club man'. I compared him to Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, as one-club men at ManU, who have played at their clubs long enough to earn testimonials.
Bibi Gardner's testimonial year and match will get quite a bit of media coverage next year because it is rare nowadays that any player stays at one club long enough to earn one.

I believe most of the testimonials now a days have the proceeds donated to a charity of their choice. Bibi have enough money already and he is a smart youth venturing into other businesses like his record company so the man def don't need the cash anyway. Gwan big yu self bibi.
