everytime i visit the observer all i see is military manning the streets and a state of emergency being imposed. Seems like this Dudus thing set the JDF loose in the streets no more freedom to walk about without the Army searching and imposing martial on the people , even non criminals. Will this every End ?

SMH i a wonder the same thing, They(gunmen) will only fight back. Police state does not stop crime , it causes civil war. especially in a country with so many illegal high powered weapons. Culture can be changed over time through education . no amount of policing will do the trick.Not our JDF who are corrupt even more than the gunmen. We cannot build a fear based society that strips people of freedom! that is no better than the one with crime by Gunmen. Its still fear the people living in. oppression by Govt is no better than oppression from gunmen. . Weed out the dutty politician dem who bring in the guns and create garrisons. nuff Ghetto youth never left Kingston i dont know where down town we have a gun factory so they must be coming in from somewhere. The glorified Gun culture is put on the screen for the youths to see. The biggest celebrities are criminals who with money, they are the ones the youths look up to . Give them new heroes and stop promoting Kartels and Movados on TV . Show them the best of Jamaica and they will want to emulate that . If we keep feeding them the negatives then they will live the negative.

My point is, its easy to justify totalitarianism and military dictatorships from a distance, as long as you are not living under it or are one of the privileged who are not its victims.
Jamaicans are democratic people and would fight any attempt to militarise or turn Jamaica into any kind of dictatorship as an official policy.

Every single race on earth right now across the globe have its undertrod and oppressed and you can believe me when mi say, in Britain, the Jamaican and Irish population have a bond than no one can break and you don't want no further distinction of black and white than that as far as racial distinction is concerned.
