Reggae artists need to move away from this type of controversy. Many of the artists has already been seen as homophobic.

I can only speak for myself when i say that i am not homophobic ,because i do not fear gays or lesbians, i don't know about the rest of you. We need to look at the real issue here, it isn't homophobia , but rather disgust and hatred for the practices that these individuals engage in , it is also instilled in us by our culture that we scorn,or defamate persons of such charachter, why because we see such practices as un-godly, sick, and sometimes a form of infestation that has engulfed the moral of the people. all i'm gonna say is that i think jamaicans are not homophobic but rather have a hatred/dislike for people who do such hedonistic things.

Homophobia : Means the Fear of or hatred for lesbians and gay men
I guess that makes us homophobic then....

Mike U, you are engaging us in a fight that you can never win. We are as a people, competely opposed to this unnatural and immoral act. Jamaica seems to be one of the few places where we can get a break from the constant "in your face" actions of these people. I hope that we will never accept as normal, such a nasty act.
Peace

To my knowledge , being homophobic means to fear homosexuals, and i am damn sure that i do not fear these distgusting set of people, and i don't think many jamaicans fear them, but rather dislike or oppose what these people stand for.
Don't twist the meaning of the word, phobia- means to fear(if mymemory serves me right) ,i guess i should ask you guys if it is that you actually fear these nasty ungodly people.

Suppose you don't believe the Bible, Jagga.
1)I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
2) I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
3) A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Lev. 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?
4) Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
5) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev.19:27. How should they die?
6) I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
7) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev.24:10-16) Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

What if you found out that your favorite baller of all times was gay, would you still admire his balls?
