Syriac showed that the form is on the way in which the team did a really nice effort against Åtvidaberg Premier Division on Saturday. ÅFF, who with one week left to allsvenska Prime put up with the best ratings, was better during the first half, but then showed a dense Syriac up defensive play by goalie auditioned Dwayne Miller very good between the uprights.
Syrian is the nickname for IFK Goteborg.......

Not sure if this is a negotiation ploy but IFK Goterborg has 3 keepers on their roster. One is contracted through 2011 while the other two are on contracts that expire this year.
1. Kim Christensen (30 years old)-Has spent time with the Denmark National team. 2. Eric Dahlin -(20 years old) 3. Markus Sandberg - (19 years old) ================================================================= *Dahlin and Sandberg are pretty much rookies......Miller has future in his own hands.......

The club plays in Sweden's 2nd division. They finish 4th last season one place out of the playoff spot for promotion.
The team is based in a suburb of Södertälje, Stockholm, Sweden. Södertälje is noted for its large influx of Iraqi refugees. Södertälje has taken in more Iraqi refugees than the United States and Canada combined.[2] Södertälje has the largest group of Assyrian/Syriacs than any other city in Europe, with more than 22,000 Assyrian/Syriacs living in Södertälje (35% of the population), and around 80,000 Assyrian/Syriacs living in Stockholm County. They are Christians who fled violence from Sunni Muslims during the Iraq War.

Jamaica's national team goalkeeper clear 2010-03-17 2010-03-17
Ever since the goalkeeper Simon Nurme signaled that he was leaving football for FC Syriac studies have been hunting for a new goalkeeper and now have found someone who fills the spot. It was the Jamaican national team goalkeeper, Dwayne Miller, who auditioned for the team during a period.
Negotiations with the 22-year-old Jamaican had stagnated, but were withdrawn in the days and now it has been agreed. Miller has merit from the game with Jamaica's U-20 team since 2007, where he has been at 12 caps, and with the Jamaican national team, where he has been 10 games since 2008. In 2005 he joined the Harbor View, in Jamaica's top series, and it is from there he is now coming to FC Syriac.
SFC hopes that all documents are ready before the weekend, so that Miller could be on the training camp in Turkey as the team travels to on Saturday.
We hope of course that all documents will be ready on time. Right now we are waiting for clearance from the Immigration Service with regard to the work permit. Before it is clear he can not travel, "said Ghayath Moro - team leader of the club.

Swede Deal for Miller
Robert Bailey, Gleaner Writer
National goalkeeper Dwayne Miller has signed a one-year contract with Sweden's Division One side Syrianska FC for the new season which begins next month.
Clyde Jureidini, general manager of Harbour View FC, the club Miller represents in the Digicel Premier League, told The Gleaner that Miller, along wiht the rest of the Syrianska squad, will be heading to Turkey for a one-week training camp this weekend.
"This is good for Dwayne (Miller) because it is not very often that Jamaican goalkeepers get offers, and to get an offer in Europe is extremely rare," Jureidini said. "Usually, goalkeepers are seen as mature, in their high 20s or 30s, and he is just 22, and so I think it is a good chance for him to build his game and to build his reputation and just move on from there."
Jureidini added: "He is the national goalkeeper and the leading keeper in the league (Digicel Premier League), and I think that speaks for itself. Miller is a young, improving goalkeeper and in time he will only get better, and I believe in the Swedish environment he will only get better."
The 22-year-old goalie made his senior national debut in their 2-0 away win against Malaysia in a friendly international in 2007. He has so far won nine caps for Jamaica, the last of which was a 2-1 defeat to South American powerhouse Argentina last month.
Miller was also a member of Jamaica's Under-20 team which won the silver medal at the Pan American Games in 2007. Miller has been in Europe since late last month and his trial stint was made possible by Romel Wallen through his company, Pro-Gold Sports Management Limited.

He is the Harbour View FC and Jamaica's "Reggae Boyz" goalkeeper, Dwayne Miller, who auditioned for the team during a two week period.
Negotiations with the 22-year-old Jamaican's Club has been successful, and now it has been agreed and signed.
Miller has merit from the game with Jamaica's U-20 team since 2007, where he has been at 12 caps, and with the Jamaican national team, where he has been 10 games since 2008.
In 2005 he joined the Harbour View Football Club, winning the Premier League, CFU Caribbean Cup, Under 21 League also playing in CONCACAF Champions League and Cup before topping both the Goalkeeper's, MVP Youth Award and Best Goalkeeper, in the 2009 Premiership. It is from HVFC he is now coming to Syrianska FC.
"Dwayne is an amazing talent, he is resilient and did well in the short game. In addition, he has the right age, there is a future in him. Then there are obviously some things he needs to work with, and it will be up to our goalie coach Berndt Magnusson to do" said coach Syriac Özcan Melke Michel.
"SFC is happy that all documents are now ready, so that Miller could be on the training camp in Turkey as the team travels on Saturdayl", said Ghayath Moro - team leader of the club.
Jamaican-British representative, Romel Wallen, of Pro-Goal Sports Management Limited created the opportunity for the Dwayne and the Clubs.
Good to see that the one bad game against Argentina didn't blind the Swedish club to his other strengths and potential.
As I've said, just after that match, Jamaica will have to keep the conveyor belt going because Jamaica's best players can and will attract attention from the world's football clubs and will get the chance to earn their living playing football in countries where decent livings are being earned.
Time to see some real inward investment from the big money interests into Jamaica football now.
