Jamaican seals £1million deal ^top
Jamaican midfielder Jermaine Johnson has reportedly signed a £1million deal with Wanderers after impressing during his trial spell at the club. The 20-year-old, who previously played for Tivoli Gardens in the Jamaica Premier League, has been in and out of the national squad because of disciplinary problems. He has been on trial with The Trotters since last month and impressed Sam Allardyce enough for the boss to offer him a contract at The Reebok. Johnson, a speedy and skillful player, joins countryman Ricardo Gardner at the club. Tivoli Gardens president, Edward Seaga, is confident that he will have a huge impact in England. "This is his dream. He has worked very hard at trying to improve his game and I have no doubt that he will do well at Bolton," said Seaga.

Sorry Mobydick these are all "Simoes' Babiez".The current ("GERMANY 2006") squad of players ranging from : Bibi Gardner (Bolton) Winston Griffiths (Connecticut Wolves) Patrick Graham (Reno) Rae Graham (Connecticut Wolves) Ricardo Fuller(Ex-Crystal Palace) Shavar Thomas (Hazard) Jermaine Hue (Harbour View) Kevin Deerr Donavon Ricketts Robert Scarlett (Harbour View) Claude Davis (Hazard) Jermaine Johnson (Tivoli/Bolton?) ............................................................................etc etc Are the result of Rene Simoes' dream which are now comming to bear fruit.I have to give a BIG UP to Simoes because he was widely criticized for including players like Ricardo Gardner into the national team in favour of more seasoned and more senior players.

True that Lincoln we have to give respect where it is due. When Simoes came on board he saw to it that the youths got to play in as much international as possible.
We got beaten 5-0, 6-0 and sometimes 9-0 but he didn't worry as the foundations were being laid.
Too bad the program went with Simoes and now after seeing first hand the positive effects of baptising the youths in the fire we are now talking about not playing top teams so as not to destroy the youths confidence( Just when you think you have heard it all some excuse comes along to top them all)
My how our program has regressed without the Prof, if you think I am lying just look across at what is being done in Trinidad and ask yourself this question.
When was the last time we outlined a 4 year plan? What is our four year plan?
Respect to JJ and to Simoes these youths right now in the U-20 came for the U-15 and U-17 that he took on tour worldwide. These were the same youths who picked up 5-0 and didn't score a goal in New Zeyland and here they are on the U-20.
So much for psyche being damaged
respect

This kid has a tremendous amount of talent and it's too bad he has to go so far to get a chance to show it. I can't believe Clovis has not given him a chance to play over all these different foreigners he has been trying.
Again, the whole attitude of JFF and the coaching staff is: If the are locally developed they are not good enough to play international football. I wonder if he will now be consider a foreigner, hence given the opportunity to play for his owner country.
I really hope he and Fuller go on to do well then tell the JFF where to go @#%!$..
peace

I take it that he did pass the medical and fitness tests.
Does the signing of the contract means that he now has a UK work permit?
Does this mean that Jermaine will start on the right side of midfield freeing up Bibi to go back to the left where he is most lethal, tomorrow ?
I can't see a club like Bolton (who is reported in financial problems) buying a man for £1 million and don't use him right away.
Good Luck Jermaine and nuff premiership goals expected from you...

Gem are you switching #1 allegiance from Bibi to JJ, perplexing eh! this will work for the better as Bibi will only get jealous and pump in more goals to win back that special place in your h...t.. .....and JJ not gonna back down so easily

JJ has had his fair amount of internationals over the past 2 years. He must have played at least 14 times and score about 4 goals. This should be enough to get him through as Fuller didn't have as much internationals when he got his work permit. JJ was a fixture in the national squad.
